• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I feel a bit sorry for the 'journalist' who wrote this. They're probably a junior and if she'd watched it and said something mild like it was probably funnier at the time but a bit problematic these days then her piece wouldn't have got published.

Outrage sells. It sells to those who agree with the opinion and the many, many more who enjoy the chance to get outraged at her opinion. As can be seen on this thread.

In 40 years, if humanity still exists, I imagine news outlets will be putting out similar stories about the entertainment made today in our more 'enlightened' times.

In the future I believe people will look back at these times, and think, what a pathetic time they were.

I agree, but I think we're probably talking about different things prompting that point of view...

Amy’s currently watching To Hull and Back On Gold and I notice they’ve cut the Robin Hood song out.
Why’s that then is it because Robin was a bit of a vigilante? 🤷🏻‍♂️

More likely to be around the rights to the song. Quite a few episodes have been edited for that reason.

Amy fucking loves it knows every episode off by heart.

I haven't watched it for years, but i've seen every episode hundreds of times. One of the best shows ever made.

Great show but suffers badly from overexposure and went on for years longer than it should have. The later specials were excruciating.

World is now full of pretentious pricks like that.
Few weeks itll be something else just to keep em in the spotlight. Be appearing on fckn Loose Women within 6 months.

Pity they couldn't make a new series of Fools & Horses about woke Britain, I wonder who they would cast as Del Boy, Rodney, Raquel, Cassandra, Grandad and uncle Albert....any ideas ?
