• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

    All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

    Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

    It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

    The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

    Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

We are very poor in defence. The players themselves and in their own rights are not poor, however the system is sadly lacking. Two classic examples of this on Saturday; no central defender anywhere near the first goal, and the absence of ANY defender for goal #2 was simply mind boggling. This is down to coaching and training.

Yes, if we can’t stop leaking cheap goals we are going nowhere. Considering we spend 90% of our time with the ball being negative, you’d think he could coach them without the ball to be tight at the back. I’m all for give it time up to a point but there needs to be some kind of progress. Cant just keep saying if he had 7 different players it might work. Also people wanting players today…January really isn’t the time to buy or acquire players. We should have kept and given some game time to Bidwell, Whittaker and both Coopers, the latter 3 to have a good look at them, as we did with Cullen (he needed to be loaned to lower league) while planning for the summer to go in hard and early, knowing whether our own would make it. Apart from developing the team, the season is mostly done. The Double and a battle for league position with the eastern arseholes is basically all that remains for both us and scumbags now.

Why on earth would anyone with any gumption not see this ?

We were battered from the off, humiliatingly so. We only looked good in the 2nd half because that was Hull's strategy, they outthought and outfought us from the off.

We are defensively vulnerable. Better managers will set-up to exploit that early doors, drive at us, target our weak points, get a couple or more goals - and sit back.

Just like clever Hull did, just like top half cleverer outfits will.

Unless Martine has a plan C. Utterly found out with an utterly limited model v1.0.

Far too much heads in the sand, twp limited of thinking objectively on here, for heck sake.

You’ve got your head firmly intrenched the the rear end of that creature on the other site.

We had enough chances to get something out of that game in the second half, we created nothing in the first half. It was a dreadful first half performance.

.

* Entrenched.

* 19th.

Watch that first half again and reconsider, esp after tonight's debacle.

Tonight we were battered in the latter stages - a complete turnaround from the battering we received in the 1st half against Hull. We are being battered where opposing teams choose to batter us.

We are regressing at a scary rate of knots.

Uncharted territory for us proper fans.

Uncharted territory?
Try re - election 1974
Relegation 1983
Relegation under Molby.
The day the gate shut at the Vetch before we played Wallsall , before being saved by Sharpe and co in the High Court
So much more down the years.
Been there bought a multitude of tee shirts
Shows what a fake fan you are

Whoosh, in so many ways.

Top quartile, Playoff final, with a weaker team. Is the benchmark right now.

'Transishun season' though, mind, innit. For the hard of thinking.

*Uncharted.
