You sir have played football?
Id like to add that he was on a timer and Ntcham was going to replace him but he did well, I dont think he is the answer mind and we need to look at a left sided wingback to be a major force in this league. Downes,Grimes and Paterson need to start looking nd hitting the movement of Piroe who was fantastic today, i had a birdseye veiw across the line and he was a nightmare for the CCFC backline. But back to Smith his tireless closing down had a big effct and was a major part of our control.

He had a standing ovation fir a great contribution 👍

So, with average luck we’d have 18 points now and with Cooperluck 20.

Chuffed with the score at the moment. Not sure Smith offers much in an attacking midfield (in fact i am sure he offers nothing). Would like to see Ntcham come on for him second half and us to turn the screw.

Laird has their defence at his mercy we need to get the ball to him early more often

Smith had an outstanding match. Continually closed them down and chased every ball. I thought he had his best match in a Swans shirt. Not the only one.

I will have to respectfully disagree. An attacking midfielder is not judged by how much he runs and closes down he is judged by goals, assists and chances created. I don't have the stats for chances that Smith has created this season, but his record for goals and assists proudly stands at zero.

Not to say that Smith is a bad player but where he is being played at the moment is a definite waste of his skill set.

I'd say you're both right. Smith had a great game today, but he's not a long-term answer in that position. A record of 10 goals in 362 games would strongly suggest he's not an attacking midfielder. Would he have even started if Ntcham was fit?

Done a bet on Sky earlier, Piroe to score, 4+ corners in each half and Flint to be carded, the others came in but flint didn’t get carded but yet they still paid out the bet (£65 off a £2.50 stake), did he get booked in the tunnel or something or have skybet made a mistake?

The performance was matched by the catering which I thought was much better today - the Gower roasted coffee was fantastic. Well done to the on and off field staff.

This Wednesday is going to be interesting.

Middlesbrough v Barnsley
Hull v Peterborough

If Barnsley get a win against Neil Warnock's side, and either Hull or Peterborough win (it doesn't matter which) then a Cardiff loss will drop them into the relegation zone.

It felt like a game where everything clicked and we gave a team a hiding was only a matter of time. The fact that it came against Cardiff is just all the better, hopefully that will give us plenty of momentum to take into the West Brom game as we will need to show plenty of that quality and confidence again if we want to get anything out of this one.

Very good all round performance however they are genuinely the worst side we've played this season. Maintain a similar performance against WBA and we might just be getting there. Thought the back three looked calm in and out of possession. Our best three IMO.
I have seen the comments of how poor Cardiff were, Not least on the CCFC MB.
Worth noting that against Reading, in their last match, most observers said how unlucky they were dominating the shots on goal.
Also they had a hell of a run in last season and, up until this dire losing streak, were in / near the playoffs. Bookies had then down to finish ahead of us.
McCarthy is most likely toast but he was right in saying they edged it up until the first goal. Was pretty equal up until half time as well.
We wore them down with our passing game and ended dominating making them look a very ordinary side. I almost felt sorry for Moore huffing and puffing around and barely within 20ft of the ball. Think we need to give ourselves a tad more credit for what we achieved.
WBA will be a good indicator of how far we have come as they are Cardiff on steroids :)

Quite a few of our players doing the ‘swim away’ after the game. And our manager. Very naughty.

I remember when one of our players got done by the FA for doing the swim away, was it Pratley?

Jonjon Shevley.

The great thing about the early kickoff today is the fact we’re still able to re-live the fantastic atmosphere in the stadium and of course the result since 2 o’clockish, and it’s only 9.30 pm. 🤗. 🍺

Speaking of our back 3, what’s happened to Rhys Williams? Is he still struggling with the racism he received a few weeks back?

A bit of a longshot but I'd say RM doesn't think he's good enough to get into the matchday squad.

Watching the game again on Sky Football. Every bit as good as it was first time.

Just listening to the Call Rob phone in. They’re very irate, some even slipping up and swearing they’re so p*ssed off 🤣🤣🤣
