21/22 The Official Swansea City vs Hull City Match Thread

Not much has changed really has it? It’s all still a bit Cooper-esque. Still early days for Martin though.

People are certainly watching something different to me because I thought it was boring as f*ck.
Yes it is early days but possession without goals is pointless too.

I found the game to be frustratingly boring, stroking the ball about in our own half, especially in the last ten minutes, ain’t going to win us many matches.

we honestly are a team with the most cuntish fans known to man - we spent every wek last year moaning about cooper. We now have a progressive young manager overhauling a shit style of play over two years and look a half decent side again, with a team full of very good looking (and most case) young players and they still moan. 9x out of 10 we win that game, the ref didnt give the most blatant penatly kick i've ever seen and it was unlucky. Have some positivity ffs

Bit baffled by some of the comments down there today. Thought we played really well and for once I though we look like a good outfit. Yes maybe we can have a pop at goal more often but one goal today and i believe we would of stuck 3/4 on them.

We won the ball back so much quicker and Downes was fantastic. Give it time it will come.

piroe, manning, downes, mobafemi, ntcham, cabango - all under 26 and permanent players, added with williams and laird - we have a bloody good side.

Laird and Ntcham will be one of, if not the best, in their positions in this league come season end mark my words

I don't know how anyone can call that boring. We dominated them from the first whistle playing some lovely slick football, they never really troubled us and with a little more luck we would have the result we deserved.

It's a work in progress but some of you want instant success and I am afraid that ain't gonna happen. Marathon not a sprint.

We were too narrow too. No overlapping runs out wide with cutbacks to get behind their defence. The pressing was better though much better than under Cooper and we won a lot of swcond balls. It‘s what happened after we‘d won them was the problem. We gave them plenty of time to reorganize.

Eh? You must have been hitting a substance hard to think that was the same, which doesn’t sound like you classe. Our CBs and keeper barely saw the ball for 60 mins, which is proof enough. Obviously lack of chances and goal threat is still an issue, but the rest was poles apart.

I enjoyed that despite the failure to break them down (but we have to sort that out or we’ll obviously be in trouble).

Don’t even start me on the boos at the end. Feckin half wits. Probably the same morons that booed taking the knee. Low IQ and lots of beer aren’t a good combination.

I like Bidwell but his lack of out and out pace might be more of an issue in this setup than it was last season.

Second half yes. First half we couldn’t have been more wide and still be in the stadium. I think we just ran out of puff (may be wrong).

Ntcham was the key. As soon as he started blowing and had to go off we lost the outlet, and then had to go square and backwards as there was nothing else on. He’s going to be hell of a player for us when he’s properly up to speed.

A Cooper team would have retreated to the edge of their box and shat the bed for 90 minutes. It wasn’t Cooperesque at all.

I'd like to think that was the ref - the worst decision I've ever seen in 30 odd years of football

We are less of a goal threat than we were last season, and that is some achievement.

BoIIocks. We failed to register a shot in some games last season, Mrs Cooper.
