25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Hull 2 Swansea 1 | Att: 21,912 | 24/01/26 | The EFL Championship | The MKM Stadium

Ward is still baffling to me. If he was brought in as a 4th Choice cb (a Santos replacement) I'm fully behind it but that doesn't seem to be the case. The club want a 36yr old to be our 2nd choice RB and 3rd choice CB at the same time.

I said tbis about Lissah aswell it's not like we'd be calling him back to sit on the bench he'd be hands down starting RB for us. So I don't understand this argument people make that we would be "stopping his development" by calling him back.
The Ward signing is to give cover at CB, and tides us over until Lissah returns for a full pre season with us

We are going to give someone a pasting soon enough. Could easily have had 4 today, and against Brum.
If we can replace the toothless cogs and hit the ground running next season we could be in for a good one.

‘If’ being the opportune word, knowing us we’ll flog our best players, replace with lesser quality and we’ll be also rans again.

One thing that’s really pissing me off is this business of placing the ball at the extremities of the arc, the same was done with their penalty today it really needs to be stamped out it’s becoming a joke.

Played well enough. Second half anyway. Cabango and two Vipo brain farts cost us. Hey ho. Mid table mediocrity isn’t necessarily a bad thing but that’s all this squad is capable of. At least now we’re decent to watch thanks to Matos.
I concur, actually look forward to games now.

We didn’t lose the game because of Cabango.

We lost the game because we can’t score.
In my opinion I didn't see it like that, Lisa. Idiotic giveaway and we're chasing the game, he's never been a captain, and would be in and out of any other team. His headers in the opposition box are, frankly, pitiful. No idea how to get above the ball and head it down. We're a team that's now nearly there. Get a genuine right back in, and give the captaincy to Tymon. Any other game Vipotnik takes his chances. Get the recruitment right and we'll start beating most teams. I lost count how many times Key lost the ball when he came on in the 2nd half. Clearly not good enough. But overall we were the better team, barring a stupid decision by our "captain".

I'm not disagreeing that it was awful and a self inflicted disaster, but it had no more impact that Vip missing two chances that my sister could score, and she has a broken ankle. Goals change games and shift momentum, but at both ends.
I just think there's a false equivalence people are drawing between Vip and Bango's 'moments' today. The Vip equivalent is not missing a good chance, it would be if a teammate hit a shot that was going into the back of the net and he wanted to try some stupid cute flick to make it his goal instead and ended up diverting it wide. Missing sitters is not the equivalent to undisputed deliberate handball in the penalty area.

But anyway, I'm done with thinking about this game now. My Saturday has been sufficiently ruined, so I'm going to have one last chuckle about Hull being level on points with Ipswich and bail out.

Galbraith has had a lot of off days recently. He’s been poor since the start of the year.
Try not to respond to any of your posts …don’t want to be called obsessed do I,but boy you really do take a dislike to certain players and managers that’s for sure…take a break have Kit Kat mun.

Yeah, open a bottle. However we lost, we really shouldn't have and I'm fuming about it. I would kick Cabango's arse right back to Swansea.

Also important to note we are certainly creating a lot of chances. xG above 2.0 today, only Bristol City created more than us in the leagues 3pm KO’s today, and they were home vs Sheff Wed.

We are going to lose games. We’ll get hammered a few times as well no doubt.

We’re not going to have a team of £10m+ plus players all over the park so don’t expect them to be on top form every game.

It’s a decent enough squad we have, and a more than decent manager from early showing.

Some of you need to get a grip and be realistic ffs, spoilt by our time in the premier league some of you.

Pretty dour first half, second much better and we deserved at LEAST the draw, away to a team flying at the moment.

Uppafuckingswans and we go again.
