Will it go past three days this time?

Silverwood has been sidelined with Covid so this might help their chances.

Forget this dead rubber and concentrate on the two other test matches going on at the moment. New Zealand are 17 ahead of Bangladesh with only five second innings wickets in hand. Possible shock on the cards there. Day five of the first test in Tauranga starts at 10pm tonight. Then day three of the second test between South Africa and India in Johannesburg continues at 8am tomorrow and the series has been a cracker so far. India are 58 ahead with eight second innings wickets left. Two cracking matches between four teams that seemingly know how to play and value test cricket.

But yeah I’ll be watching as much of the next chapter in the implosion of English test cricket in Sydney as I can. Because apparently I hate myself.

Going to watch test match cricket in NZ is a bucket list item for me, I don't even care who the touring side is. Queenstown and Taurange both look particularly inviting and places where I could spend five days lazing through ninety overs of cricket.

It’s on mine too. We should go together.

Checks future tours programme...

I have seen quite a few T20 and one day internationals in NZ mostly in Hamilton and Eden Park, I am usually out there over Xmas so try and catch the Boxing Day games. I have spent some time in Tauranga and Queenstown both fantastic spots but very busy tourist areas, the problem with NZ on big tours is a lack of accommodation and you would probably need to be on an organised trip rather than going on a self organised tour.

By the way my son in law is a Kiwi amateur level cricketer in the Auckland league and is loving the Bangladesh game and thinks they deserve to win, which is something you rarely hear from a Kiwi supporter.

As a warning if you do go. Out there don’t go drinking beer all day whilst lying on the grass in full v high UV sunshine. So pissed my kids had to take me home and burnt to a crisp

Not to mention the freebie match tickets.

New Zealand now seven down and only 30 ahead. Bangladesh close to a big shock.

Make that eight down. This one might be over before Sydney starts.

This is some collapse from 136-2.

Are you back to work yet? I went back today and have been trying to break the habit of not going to bed until 3am. Tonight is looking dodgy.
