• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

RM disappointed with second half mentality.

No way you thought we were going to draw when we were 1-4 up, did you ?

sorry, that was meant for Phil and the 'you knew that was going to happen' crew

Great atmosphere there today until the equaliser and fantastic support from the travelling Jacks.

I was right in the front row today and saw the Reading penalty was a clear dive. At first I thought Friend was booking the striker for simulation.

Fell apart when Downes went off and they tried to play the same style of tiki taka with Fulton which was tactically naive. He’s a cart horse and if you bring him on he should hoof the ball up to Obafemi to run on to and not fart about with it.

Not sure about Fisher at all - he seems to make wrong decisions and is a poor shot stopper (even non existent).

After Reading equalised in injury time there was a clear handball when Christie crossed into the Reading penalty area and the defender armed the ball. Some shocking refereeing decisions today but, all being said, we only have ourselves to blame for throwing away a 4-1 lead.

I’m frustrated but I do love the Championship because anything can happen.

Can’t say it was a poor performance, at times our passing and movement especially in the first half was fantastic to watch. It was poor game management more than anything else. At 4-2 we should’ve just taken the sting out of the game. When it went to 4-3, we were sucked into playing long, our ball retention was poor and Reading could sense they were in the ascendancy at that stage.

Seeing as you aimed it at me - no I didn't.

But then again I never said that I did.

Some people have short memories, i can remember Swansea 4- Wolves 4 in 2011/12 season under BR in our first season in the PL, we had also been 4-1 up, we were also 2-0 away from home against them and they scored two late goals to equalise to make it 2-2.

The 5-4 Palace game where we were coasting at 3-1 and scored in last minute to win it.

It happens.

I think it’s simple. We look great in attack (lately) but incredibly vulnerable in defence and that’s the way it’s going to be for the foreseeable. If he can manage to get the defence as strong as the recent forward play we’re on a winner. Then again if I stopped eating pies I wouldn’t be so fat. I guess what I’m saying is you can’t have everything. Look on the bright side, Glamorgan are top!
