Fluking resulting we didn't deserve, helping Cardiff out in Derby match and helping maintaining our current shit ownership remaining in low table mediocrity

The problem I see with this post is that some are looking at what AS is doing now rather than what he may be able to do next season. I don't care, to a degree what he does now, as long as he does what is required to keep us up. That's all that is important. Once that is, hopefully, mathematically confirmed, we can look at next season. Don't analyse him on his fire fighting abilities. Look at whether he can then build and carry us forward. And I don't mean to the PL. As a club we are so far away from that it's unbelievable that people think about it. But, we should be better, all round, than this season has panned out.

Hopefully we are safe with a few games to go, it's looking that way and then Sheehan will have a bit of space to give us a taste of what he would bring IF he gets it permanently.

He's not for me though.

My worry is that a lot of people have already made up their minds that Sheehan isn't the right man for the job, irrespective of the evidence we are seeing unfolding in front of us.

Maybe the vote will go up now 😅😅. I still need to see more of what Sheehan has. To be fair he did say openly that he knew like everyone that the last match was a slog to watch. He could of easily gone as defensive tonight. Fair play to him. Interesting what Saturday will be like.
It's a difficult one if I'm honest, voted no in the poll but if performances carry on like they did last night he's certainly not doing himself any harm. OK Plymouth were gash but you can only beat what's in front of you, and we really should have had 8 or 9 goals last night. With a decent transfer window in the summer and hopefully better players in the squad he may become a good fit for us. At least last night we saw a manager shouting, pointing and encouraging players, at times it looked as if had ants in his pants. Excellent performance though, apart from ,at times, our woeful finishing.

I'm slowly edging towards the Sheehan In box, he seems to play tactics that suit the opposition and not just his own style of play no matter who we're up against. It hasn't always been pretty, but it makes us hard to beat and gets results.
The fact that he can change the style of play is a major plus given the recent incumbents.

14 points from 8 games extrapolated over a whole season would get us into the play-offs. If we assume that his tactics will get worked out, and 80 points is a bit optimistic; comfortable top-half, challenging for play-offs is what the "data" suggests. Which would be an improvement.

8 games 14 points 5 clean sheets 5 goals conceded (4 of them against the top 2).
That's some argument on his behalf for the gig.

My reason for being so negative

Excluding Plymouth and Blackburn we've lucked results, nothing is gonna change unless we get relegated or go in really bad form as we did under Luke Williams, sacked him, Andy Coleman resigned, fans forum set up etc. (along with a terrible winter transfer window) now the owners will feel vindicated or like they've improved, just for it to the same next season lower table or relegation battle. Not only that the Plymouth and Derby results have helped Cardiff massively (especially since Cardiff jammed a last minute equaliser on Tuesday)
