I'm not sure the scenarios are similar.

Monk took a team of footballers, a team of beauty, and destroyed it with ugly, 2D tactics more befitting of a League Two team.

Sheehan has taken over a very average group and applied a bit of long overdue common sense. Instead of pretending he's managing Man City's squad, like Martin and Williams preferred to.

I'd say Sheehan and Monk are the complete opposite like you've outline.

Monk ruined the team where super Alan Sheehan has us regalvanised the team.

The amount of players asking for him to stay and apparently O'Brien wants to stay, can't be ignored.

Looking at his stats whilst in interim charge, I am actually surprised at how poor his start was. I remembered it as 'he came in, did well, got the job, got us 8th, it fell apart'.

I've attached an image here of his form from when he first took charge, all the way through to May when he got the job full-time. Madness in hindsight that we stuck with him. Even further madness that we somehow shat our way to 8th the following year.

Yeah I think what got people carried away - surprise, surprise - was his first game v Cardiff, 3-0. After the euphoria of that, as long as we stayed up he was always going to get the job. I went up to Everton in the March (I think it was), we were absolutely abysmal that day, couldn't string a pass together, it was a sign of things to come really.

Apparently Cabango has said he'd love for Sheehan to get it.
If the players are that on board & invested in it - I don't see why they should look elsewhere.
Obviously, still a gamble though.

If/when Modric gets involved shirley he'll wanna be involved in a successful venture.
And even tho Sheehan has made good inroads, I just can't see him in the seat long term.
I'm gonna take a punt we'll get a foreign manager along with 4/5 European players/youngsters in.
Big changes are coming I feel, and if the above gels quickly, next season could go through the roof.

Bit harsh. VP first season with us. Had Williams as a coach who destroyed the team. Yate and, Lowe have a lot of Championship experience. For his first season and his age and considering everything, VP is doing good. As for Mykola, never given a chance with us.

You can only beat whats put in front of you and so far Sheehan has over a 50% win record in his 9 games in charge this season with more than half of his opponents failing to score a goal against us.

Yes the Derby game was a bit of an own goal in terms of team selection and tactics and he admitted as much after the game. He followed that up with the most complete Swans performance for years in beating Plymouth three nil and reading the Plymouth forum after the game they were happy to come away only having conceded three and not six or seven.

All four games left are very much winnable matches, right now he has form, momentum and a track record of positively changing matches with his substitutions and tactical switches.

Honestly I'm not sure what more you could possibly demand from him.
