Who actually is calling for Sheehan to be sacked?.. I've only seen lollypop wanting this unless I've missed these postings.
You must not be on X/Twitter, I'm being recommended to posts by various numpties with a picture of a Swan on their handle, calling for Sheehan's head before it's too late. Too late for what I'm not sure, but they seem to have taken the posts of Reform voters doing their spleen on Starmer, copied and pasted them and swapped Starmer's name for Sheehan. Any way, steering clear of Twitter for a while may not be a bad idea!

Thanks, I'm not on twitter so not seen any of it or aware of it. I've not suggested he should be sacked whatsoever. I'm sure Smurph will find something on me

Yes, Sheehan learning is a zillion times better than Sheehan out, and that needs time. It didn't work with Russbot nor Willy though arrogance and/or general stupidity, but sacking yet another manager until the case is proven would be the height of brainless over-reaction. He does need to learn though, as he's burning through daft ways to not win games that should be won.
I agree mainly, Martin was too stubborn but wasn’t helped by the ownership at the time and I’m convinced Williams just self destructed after that West Brom situation.

My only question mark over the Sheehan appointment is the fact that the ownership have spent what (for us) is a lot of money and are willing to gamble on a manager who is in his first job. In the past we have gone for “project” style managers but in recent times that has been because of financial restraints more than anything. With a bit more capital behind us I’m surprised they didn’t go for someone more experienced even if the green route has paid off for us in the past.

This is no slight on Sheehan by the way, his points per game record speaks for itself and any manager that can win 5 in a row in the championship has to have something about him. I’d be willing for him to learn as he goes but to me it seems slightly at odds with the ambition we are showing elsewhere.

Let's not quibble about semantics, questioning the manager at this stage of the season with all that has gone on in terms of the squad rebuild.

The circumstances between this season and and the last few under Martin and Williams are a million miles apart, keep driving your agenda against the manager though.
I not driving any agenda against Sheehan, I want him to succeed. I am judging him so far on this season, not last season. At the moment for me we are falling short on performances and yet we still could have had 4/6 points extra. I personally think he will get sussed out this season.

I'm very much similar to you, I want Sheehan to do well ( I'm a fan) and don't dislike him as a manager, but you can't honestly say the football has been exciting to watch this season. We tend to go missing in matches, poor at Middlesbrough, poor half v Watford
v Hull , v Birmingham and again on Saturday . I just think with the investment and the players brought to the club the owners will be looking for far more than we are seeing at the moment.

I’m sure that the owners will be looking for far more than we are seeing at the moment. I’m also sure that they’re prepared to wait more than a few games for the manager to find his best combinations, for the new players to gell and new partnerships to develop in the team.
If suitable progress isn’t evident by Christmas I’m sure questions will be asked.

It's all been a bit steady Eddie which is disappointing after what was witnessed last season when he took over.

The reality is, we are doing ok but I have come away from games this season with a sense of frustration.

I feel that he needs to take the handbrake off, revert to a 4-2-3-1.....I think if he does this, we then see a few more 3pts and the football can be more entertaining.
