They’ll get more mad at Beto for shouting at a press conference than they will at a school full of dead children.

It's mental health though isn't it?
The 'playstation generation" who think you can shoot someone or be shot and then they/you will come back to life!!!!
Only once you can die FFS!

People aged 17 can't buy a beer but if they are having a "bad day' they can buy a gun.

s**t for brains country, always has been and always will.
Massive egos and deluded.

Strange how the countries with video games, mental health issues and gun control don’t have all these mass shootings though.

You’ll never guess which Texas resident retweeted this.

Don't fall for the violent videogames are to blame propaganda Dicky. It's just as much bullshit and a deflection tactic as it was when rock and roll or violent movies were to blame for moral degeneration amongst young people.

If Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in dark rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive electronic music 👀👀

Got to be that Tummer gimp?

With 400 million guns in the US, this looks incredibly difficult to resolve. Apparently 80 percent of democrat voters and 65 percent of republican voters favour tighter gun controls but for decades administrations on both sides have failed to make progress.

It obviously is way too general to blame just one thing but it is a mental health issue.
No real experiences for many just sitting in front of a screen all day.
What else is too blame?
Poor parenting, poor peer groups, bad friendships, bullying, the macho "this is America the greatest country" bull crap?

Had to check their constitution. Right to arms since 1771. Wow of course things haven't moved on for 250years.

1791

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed

The amendment was put in place to ensure protection against a British re-invasion. Which came in the war of 1812-including the burning of Washington and the White House. Subsequently the supreme court defined this as the right to the individual.

It’s that comma again……

If you want to keep the second amendment, you have to put up with kids dying in schools.

It’s a simple calculation and most Americans who vote in the states that matter think it’s a price worth paying. Just ask our transatlantic posters.

It’s got nothing to do with the second amendment really. The NRA props up political parties financially.

And I'm not sure that assault rifles were at the forefront of minds with single-shot muskets of 1791.

The Supreme Court could modify the interpretation of the constitution to ban assault rifles and increase controls. Not going to happen though...

I can see the justification of a Montanan possessing a hunting rifle. But these are weapons of modern war.
