Are the players giving everything?

I’m no expert, but I have used that meme before, it’s usually used to express an awkward/uncomfortable experience. It’s a gif, not a picture, so it shows the kid giving a couple of awkward side glances.

No idea what the context is for Benson using it.

Thinking of it now it’s probably to do with Santos and Fulton coming on when we were losing.. possibly.

Think that was my face when they came on too.

Along with Bristol getting subs on before us when we were 2-0 down.

I don’t know how some people make it so far in football these days. The most blatantly obvious thing to do is just ignored by so many “coaches”.

It’s still more confidence for me. Our average age in the squad is around 24, lots of younger guys who are probably struggling with belief right now. Let’s not forget we were without Cabango and Tymon. Samuel’s Smith and Casey are relatively inexperienced although I like both.
How the fuck did they make it to pro level with such low confidence then? Sorry but I just don't buy that excuse.

That’s fair enough.

All I know is, if I had been on a run of poor performances and just lost 4-1 at home in my last game and then my manager got sacked, leaving the coaching team in charge, my belief and confidence wouldn’t be at an all time high.

Yeah my reply wasn't a dig at you, and confidence does definitely play a part but come on they are professional players and you'd like to think they had some pride. I do think it starts at the top and they've probably become disillusioned with they way they are being run. When I played I detested losing and that's why I gave it my all.

Todays performance reminded ne of the Cardiff game under Duff totally unacceptable.

Not a single yellow in a 3.0 battering says it all.

If it were not for Burgess and his 2 blocks plus a sitter they missed it could easily have been 6.

No way the players gave everything today looked to me as if they couldn't give a toss.
I might be wrong but I’m damn sure I saw some hefty challenges going in from us and being unpunished by the referee so I think that isn’t completely fair.

Perhaps, by picking Cullen, Eom and Idah it was O’Dea who knew he was out of a job imminently sticking two fingers up at the club and the fans?

Anyway we know damn well that they aren’t always putting in 100% in the league as they raised their games for Forest and Man City.

I'm never in the know about goings on at the club but I do know a young man who came through the academy and played a few games for the first team. He's now playing regularly at a lower level and is hugely grateful for the help and encouragement that he received from almost every senior player during his time at the club.
Except one who broke through at a similar time and then was "an utter arrogant shit" to the younger players at the club and continues to be so.
That one is very good at pointing.
