Morris wasn't a Cooper singing imo, if Cullen hadn't been injured Morris wouldn't have got off the bench either.

Not been involved since the tweet was discovered. I would hope that Cullen is not far off otherwise as stated, waste of a loan.

Typical Western Mail, can't even be bothered to do the full story. He hasn't been in a matchday squad since Middlesbrough, after which he had to apologise for previous posts on Twitter.

Whether that has anything to do with why he was not involved again or not, it is clearly part of the story. Mitchelmore either incompetent or keen not to piss off the club.

Edit: Daps beat me to it :D

Cooper isn’t interested in him or anyone beyond his chosen few. For good or bad we’ll only be able to say with hindsight, but I’m contemptuous of his ‘tiredness’ bollocks when he flogs the same 11 relentlessly no matter what options he has. That said, if he doesn’t rate any of the options, then that’s definitely an issue of the recruitment process missing his input, or him not getting what he asked for - principally this year’s Brewster.

Arriola is a DC player who needed training during the MLS close season to continue his recuperation from a serious injury. He played a part in their last game of last season and needed training whilst his team mates were off season.

MLS season starts again soon and it is no surprise that he’s going back to join his team mates for their pre season.

Cooper wasn’t interested and I don’t particularly blame him.

It happens at far bigger clubs than ours ...

As Pocchetino said at Spurs before he was sacked ...

"The club should change my job title as I know nothing about any transfer activity and feel I am just a coach."

"I am not in charge and I know nothing about the situation of my players,” I am only coaching them and trying to get the best from them"

"Sell, buy players, sign contract, not sign contract – I think it is not in my hands, it’s in the club’s hands and Daniel Levy."

“The club need to change my title and description. Of course I am the boss deciding the strategic play, but in another area I don’t know."

"Today, I feel like I am the coach.”

Ben Hamer has turned out to be the signing of the recent window

Absolutely dreadful transfer window, when the manager is blaming tiredness in the squad for our dip in form . We have had minimal benefit from our January window signings and could possibly have been a golden opportunity to get promoted wasted .

Has he?

No manager has total control over the players he signs these days. Cooper has shown little interest in squad rotation or utilising players he hasn't worked with before so if they're all knackered the blame starts at the managers desk.

There's no point in loaning a player to a club if he isn't being used, and I do blame the manager more than the player. You can see why Arriola would want to leave because he hasn't been given any opportunity at all.

Cooper's strong points: great on the training ground, and with younger players, and a good networker, and terrific at job interviews, especially using PowerPoint. Cooper's weak points: substitutions and when to make them, and an unwillingness to use players he doesn't rate.

But if it isn't clear, I'd score him7 or 8 out of 10 as a manager.

great on the training ground, and with younger players??

I’m not seeing that at all. They don’t move, can’t pass to each other (it makes be really frustrated when even when they do manage it they can’t pass in front of a player but kill the momentum, and seem to often have no idea where each other are going when they have the ball and shit themselves when pressed. They are ok when the other team gives them space and time to play, although they are then prone to often take too much time on the ball. I doubt their individual skills are ‘coached’ or worked on at all. What he is good at is ‘shape’. That is his be all and end all. It’s what we got with Clement. Oh and yeah, PowerPoint presentations, and much more positively getting us some decent loans of his under 17s.

Youngsters? He wouldn’t play Cabango or Whittaker if he wasn’t pressured into it. I’ll take that back tomorrow if he doesn’t go for Lowe and Ayew, or ever ‘rests’ Ayew.

Depending on when you catch me, I’d go for between a 4 and a 7. He’s an identikit production line British manager. The results have been good on paper, and I really think he has been let down in the acquisition window with a proper forward that knows where the net is, but for my money if he’s 8 out of 10 the scale is wrong.
