• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

A shame it didn't work out for him, but injuries have played a huge part in that. I feel that we never got a fair chance to judge him and so I definitely wouldn't put him under the "flop" category for that reason.

This does mean that three of the attacking reinforcements we had lined up (Arriola, Morris and the Southampton kid) have had injuries ruling them out for significant periods and Hourihane will make it four (how long he could be out with nerve damage is anyone's guess). I don't know how far away Cullen is from returning but assuming he isn't available for a good while that leaves our attacking force without 5 of the 8 players we had lined up to cover those positions.

Lowe is in a serious slump right now, Ayew needed a rest and did not get it and Whittaker is green and needs time to get experience.

Ayew needed a rest and decided for himself that he didn’t want to bother taking it.

I can see Ayew sitting this one out.

Routs has also picked up an injury.

We should have Wayne, Morgan, Jamal available, Conor H apparently has not pulled a hammy and Liam is back in light training.

That group is more than capable of keeping the momentum going to the end of the season.

Missing out on the Southampton and DC United loanee may have been unfortunate though none of them are better than what we have in my view.

I almost watched the Landon Donovan interview a few days back and then pulled myself together and refocused on the job at hand which is supporting Steve's efforts to put out a side out that beats Lee's.
