Looking at the latest odds, it's all died down. No real favourites. And Toshack at 22/1 seems to confirm it won't be him. https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/swansea/next-permanent-manager

Why are Eustace and Martin still in the betting running if they have turned us down ?
Alan Tate at 4/1 - that is worrying
Mike Flynn, who would be a decent shout, at 66/1 ?
I hope we get Wilder and Knill, otherwise we'll end up with Tate, Toshack or maybe someone unknown from the Midlands area Sunday League
Or another American

If Tate gets it ahead of Flynn or Toshack it would be the very height of stupidity. That's probably what'll happen then.

Well, this just gets better and better, not.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, really really desperate measures, and it's time for Planet Swans to step up to the plate. We need a manager and a coach who truly and deeply know the heart of this club, who have strong opinions, and who have excellent (not great, let's not over-praise them) knowledge.

I nominate monmouth as manager with sainthelens as coach. They may not initially work well together, but an oyster can't make a pearl without a little bit of grit. Monmouth will deal with the board and sainthelens will motivate (i.e. terrify) the players. And when they both get sacked in January we can get a better pairing in (assuming the board use their time wisely this time).

Well, can anyone else nominate a better Planet Swans pairing? Or anyone else? (cough, Sol Campbell, ex-Macclesfield manager for me.)

Maybe our demands are to high ? possibly Tate has to kept on the coaching staff and a new gaffer would want his own backroom staff.

It is quite incredible that a club who got to the Championship Final last season can't attract a Manager and is getting turned down by assistants and Managers from a lower tier.

My guess is the financial package offered is loaded with KPI's which could be too unrealistic !?

I see Jody Morris has overtaken Wilder in the odds this morning, but not odds=on, so not looking like an imminent appointment, if at all.

Surely Tate has some sort of incline when something is happening he said ideally the manager would be in place so they can have a week to prep the team for Blackburn, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Tate is in charge for that.

When I read his comments it was basically I love the club and city and will never leave the area. Also made the comment about his time at Man Utd where developing youngsters and if good enough, then give them the chance, which is his philosophy. Can be read as I want the job.

What about us being the first to appoint a female manager? Would put us on the map! Suggestions anyone...?

Think we all should just spam Mr Winter with nasty emails
That's not really going to help is it. We are not privy to the strictures he is likely to be operating under. More of annoyance is the timing of Cooper's severance.

Any movement? or is Winter joining Boris in the Fridge? ........goes back to the shed.

We're apparently having talks with Morris today, if all goes well announcement tomorrow
If not we're after Martin which could take us to the end of next week
Wilder not in frame, Cam Tosh and Tate seen as back up options

Back to the shed.

It would be great if Monmouth got the job, even if it’s only so that the rest of us can call him a fraud ! :D
