I personally can't understand the love in for Downes, he spends half his time on the ball looking for Grimes ( who is usually only 10 ft away ) so he can pass the ball back to him, both are guilty of seeking out the simple backward/sidewards pass instead of driving the ball forwards.

Nearly every player in our squad is overrated by someone.
It’s weird as f*ck to be honest.

I wholeheartedly agree though I’m sure some deluded twàt would disagree.

Cabango was okay, but it was his fault/mistake, which put Naughton under pressure and led to their goal.

Naughton wasn’t exactly under pressure it was a relatively easy clearance. Cabango had no options, and tried playing it the only place he could, channel. Got blocked, it happens.

Naughton slipped, as did numerous others throughout the game.

Of course it happens, never said any different, but there's no getting away from the fact that Cabango f*cked that up Royaly, you don't turn inside against your man. If there isn't anything on, bang it into touch. ABC of football that.

Not that i care much anyway, just passing comment on the Cabango was excellent talk.

I don't get the criticism for over rating your own team though. I mean we're supposedly supporters and if you can't be blinkered towards your own team then what's the point

People who default toward the negative over everything are far more toxic (Perch, for example)
