Early days for him in the first team but so far has looked a really solid keeper, some great saves Wednesday night.

Hamer will only ever be a journeyman stopgap and the weaknesses that made him unwanted other than to sit on our bench in case of an unlikely injury will probably surface soon enough. In the meantime though, keep it going Benny Boy.

I don’t know him well enough but to be a lower league journeyman and latterly a reserve championship goalie only offered a contract as a bench warmer with not even a place in cup games at 33 years old, I reckon there are going to be some in evidence. I hope not. I hope he turns into Peter Shilton.

Solid enough with his saves and distribution though
FelindreJack said:Why are people so desperate for Benda to play? He done OK in the opening games but consistently made mistakes. If Woodman had made the same mistakes he’d have been lynched! Benda looks a promising keeper, but we are currently not in a position to be bedding in a goalkeeper that is costing us goals.
