Strange time for a press conference. Starmer will be praying he doesn’t.

It’s gonna be one of those sit down serious face pieces to camera I think rather than a press conference. He likes them, he thinks it makes him look Churchillian.
Aye he'll tell us we're all doomed, and then f off to his office party. Worra tw@.

So will Nicola Sturgeon, I imagine. He's probably the best recruiting agent the Scottish Nationalists have had since King Edward l aka "Longshanks".

Covid alert level upgraded to level 4.

More restrictions on the horizon, not quite yet though IMO.

More restrictions will be the next step. Or we get some good news during this coming week about vaccine effectiveness against Omicron.

They’re already saying that three doses reduces the chance of any symptoms by 75% so it’s all about getting them done quicker.

Why? Genuine question. 👍
Well for what we know of this new variant, yes it's more transmitable, however, it is less deadly if that the right word, also I believe it's a B variant which is not as bad, just wondering why press the panic button. What with a good roll out of the current vaccine and boosters going well. Just saying.🤔👍

We can debate all day as to whether 8pm on a Sunday is appropriate. One thing we can surely agree on is that it’s a brilliant cover for Johnson and his cronies.

It’s the transmissibility they’re concerned about I think. Even with a relatively low percentage of hospital admissions if it causes milder symptoms a huge rise in cases will be hard for the NHS to cope with. And nowhere near enough people have had a booster yet.

Yep, and that’s inevitably what we’re about to hear. Time to get jabbed. ASAP.
