Boris's house party

If they find he lied about the party in #10, and attended one or more of the others, I can't see his bluster and buffonery getting him out of this. The 1922 committee are key in this, the knives are sharpening already.

Oh and I don't think a father of 7 kids by 4 mothers is exactly a shining moral example either. A chip off the old block is our Bozo.

Are you counting the one that’s been shelled out today in that total?

As I've said before it will be good viewing to see them turn on Boris.

I agree, it will be box office viewing. I’d pay to see it screened.

Yes, but I'll shift the blame to Mrs Jinxy if I'm wrong. It's hard to keep up with Downing Street's answer to Mickey Rooney isn't it.

I'm a Tory as you all know, apparently the alleged party was a dinner, meeting that included a few tipples in no10.. it wasn't a "party" as such.. it didn't break any guidelines, anyone could've had a few cans or bottles in their house.. just because it's the Tories they're evil

Trips to Barnard castle MPs on trains having tested positive, misuse of public money regarding contracts for friends n family, total mishandling of a pandemic from start to finish, Health secretary caught pants down red handed having preached to us all....and parties left right n fckn centre to rub our noses in it.
Still.....they mean well eh.

They're not perfect, who is? Everyone who posts on here think they're superior types, who do everything perfectly by the book.. the only reason the Tories are in, is because we've got the looney left Jeremy Corbyn wanting his utopian dream world to come to fruition

I dont think I'm a superior type, who does everything perfectly by the book. Far from it.

Besides that and the rest of what you wrote, spot on.

I see the smoke and mirrors have arrived.
Hope mother and baby are doing fine, as for Boris he can F............. right off.

Ok lets make it easy for you Skip. Lets pretend Jeremy Corbyn is Prime Minister and he's been lying to the public about holding parties in number 10 while the country was in lock down and hundreds were dying every day. You'd be pretty mad right? Now take that anger you've clearly got towards a man who isn't prime minister and never will be, and apply it to the real world.

Or are you just another one of those types who'd scream "ah but labour" while the tories sh*t down your throat hole?

That's the bit I don't understand about those who support Johnson no matter what he does. The worst case scenario is that another Tory replaces him as Prime Minister, which given feelings about the pandemic may actually put the party in a stronger position come the next election. So why won't they criticise him for anything? Are they that blinkered?

Even if the PM was someone who perfectly aligned with my personal politics, I like to think I'd rip into them for doing something clearly wrong.

I've always worn my colours on my chest but I was one of Corbyns hardest critics on here over the years. I think Starmer is a bit boring but hes doing alright and hes not a moral vacuum like the Prime Minister. When the Labour Party is doing sh*t i'll be the first to call it out, and when ive felt like theyve not represented me, ive not voted for them. But as ive said before, theres a new breed of political supporter who are willing to oversee and forgo any failures or faults as long as its their team in charge. For some, the faults and failures are what make it even better because it annoys the other side. Trump has cultivated this type of following like noone else because fundamentally these people have an authoritarian streak within them and he's been the only politician brazen enough to scratch their fascist itch. We've seen fascist movements rise and fall throughout history and the circumstances that brought them about previously still exist in us today. I'm not saying Boris is a fascist, but his flagrant disregard for standards, truth and decency, are part of his appeal to his supporters.

Boris is an exceptional politician in that he has the ability to pull in support like no other politician in the conservative party. That's why the Tory establishment are willing to tolerate him despite his enormous personal flaws and distain for conservative economic policy. They can replace Boris, which i suspect they will do before the next election, but there's noone else on those benches that can pull in quite so many spineless, all forgiving bootlickers like Boris.

Skipp may not be an overt, jackbooted fascist, but his willingness to turn a complete blind eye to his chosen politicians clear and obvious rule flouting at a time of national emergency is exactly the type disposition you need in a supporter to allow authoritarianism to creep in.

"who cares if Boris Johnson broke his own rules by partying while hundreds died every day and millions were prevented from seeing loved ones over christmas. All politicians are bad, except the ones i dont like who are much worse, and the ones i do like can get away with whatever they like because all politicians are bad see. At least we don't have jeremy corbyn..." Where do you think the line of acceptability is for people who think like that? Its a long way from where it should be and authoritarian politicians will use that free reign to do whatever they like because they know their own supporters will never hold them accountable.

By monday,it'll all be forgotten, some other storm will brew and this will be a distant memory, smoke and mirrors see. Every fookin time.
