Burnley close in – Obafemi on his way

Ronan Curtis Portsmouth is one name that’s been thrown out there

I’ve got that horrible feeling that we will lose both Piroe and Obafemi today.

That would be insane, even for us.

Why? We have Liam Cullen to score all our goals.

Strikers with better stats are out of our price range. We’re shopping in Poundland’s bargain bin and hoping a player gels and improves.

That's fair enough but it isn't 'ideal' is it?

It's getting some good cash for a player who has performed well for us and then spending a fraction of that on someone who is 3 years older and scored 3 goals in League 1 last season. Admittedly he has the same amount already this season but he's never been prolific.

Fair enough, he sounds great if he's coming in to play on the wing or whatever but to suggest that him coming in to replace Obafemi is some sort of win is ridiculous.

Burnley just signed a striker from Brentford

We’ll probably agree on 7M with add ons.

Fingers crossed at least it looks like Winter isn't folding easily on this one.
I would rather lose Obafemi than Piroe if it was down to a choice between the two of them.
Anything upwards of £8m including addons would represent good business, especially if it lets us pull in a right back.

Be to late to get replacement in by time they sort Obafemi situation out.

Problem is it won't be Winters decision when it all comes down to it.
