Yes I’ve used glasses direct many times for glasses and sunglasses, easy process and much cheaper if you want designer ones.Has anyone used their optician prescription to get new specs from an online provider?
They seem so cheap in comparison and tempted to try a pair as an emergency back up.
Now thats the thing. Was so easy when both of my eyes were on same prescription but God had other plansI have, but I only use reading glasses and both eyes are the same prescription.
Bought a pack of 5 from Amazon for about £10, and keep a pair in various coats and the car. Very handy and if they break, I’m not bothered.
Cheers for that. Definitely going to give them a go. The mark up in opticians must be big but I guess they have overheads to cover so I get it. But theyve had enough of my money over the decades so I wont feel too guilty.Yes I’ve used glasses direct many times for glasses and sunglasses, easy process and much cheaper if you want designer ones.

Never even thought of thatDon't rule out Asda superstores that have opticians. I was pleasantly surprised how much cheaper they were compared with my regular optician.
Spot on. My glaucoma was picked up by my regular eye test which is why I will always attend optician for regular check ups.Slightly off at a tangent, when you have your eyes tested by an optician it’s well worth getting the retinal photography done even if it costs a bit more.
It can detect all sorts of medical issues (not only with your eyes) long before they become apparent through symptoms. It’s an early warning system for your general health.
If you need the frames adjusted you're stuck though.Has anyone used their optician prescription to get new specs from an online provider?
