• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Coming down in Bryn and the upper Port Talbot valleys as well.

Lets have it!

Like a skating ring out my yard, nearly had an upside down moment

We were left home alone for a couple of days in 82 because my mum was visiting friend and got stuck there. We were making igloos - it was crazy

Had a light dusting this evening on the outskirts of Neath.

Chaos this morning up by me, I got so far up the road, but a car had stopped blocking road then I couldn't move, luckily was able to roll backwards and manged to get some traction and got going, only to find that the top road was grid locked due to buses being stuck on main road, blocking it all, ended up parking van up and went home for a cuppa until things sorted themselves out and I managed to go and get some work done.

Its laughable really, some snow falls and everything comes to a standstill, gritters not having gritted the roads hadn't helped, crazy, they turned up early evening then, like after the Lord Mayors show
