Piroe for Cullen is the obvious one. Expect Laird will be straight in too. Would be tempted to give Dhanda a run in place of Paterson too but suspect we're in a minority on that one.

Piroe for Cullen struck me as odd as it happens, given the role Cullen was given. The obvious one is Piroe for Jamal, but that would be unfair on Jamal. I suppose you could move Jamal out wide and put Piroe through the middle which would mean Cullen dropping to the bench. Fulton and Downes is going to be a tricky one this season and it’ll be interesting to see who is going to come out on top in that battle.
Yes, Piroe through the middle & Lowe playing wider for me. I don't see a place for Cullen.

I think Downes is a far better player than Fulton and should be one of the first on the team sheet

Everytime Benda is near the ball I think the opposition are going to score...is he gonna get better, have we got better?

He was near the ball a lot. How many did they score?

Benda with Cooper Cabango and Lati/Naughton sweeping in a back three. Manning and Laird if available. Grimes Downes/Fulton holding midfield then this is where i leave it to RM.

Cullen is or looks to me to be a goalscoring CF not a leftwinger but someone who scores in the box. Jamal looked like he was tired to me and is not a CF. Whittaker looks like he can play but needs to speed up and toughen up. People have mentioned our best passer Dhanda whom i think will have to play if we havent got a CF on the pitch.

Still would like us to get a pacy winger from somewhere though.

Jamal played through the middle for Peterborough - correction - Pompey and ran the game. Jamal may not quite have the pace for a winger to trouble a team like Sheffield United, they are quick at the back. I would try him as no.10 alongside Cullen or Whitaker with Piroe up top.

Cullen nowhere near good enough and should never be starting before dhanda or whitaker

The defence and midfield don’t need changing unless there’s an injury.
Paterson was the best of the front 3 and looked really good on the ball so he has to play he suits what Martin wants To do.
Cullen and Lowe don’t look comfortable where they are being asked to play and Whittaker didn’t do enough when he came on.

I’d be tempted to go with Dhanda instead of Cullen and Piroe instead of Lowe.

Benda

Cabango Cooper Manning

Latibeaudiere Downes Grimes Bidwell

Dhanda Piroe Paterson

What's happened to Walsh, continuing his career has an injury prone player? Why did we sign a player with constant injury issues, waste of a wage, if he's gonna miss more games than he play's.
Bennett seems to have issues as well, that's his age though perhaps.
Think we would have benefitted by moving Lowe to wing on Saturday and taken Cullen off for Piroe, Cullen is a goal scorer/poacher, don't think we can afford to have a player like that in the team, think we need more from a forward player, its a shame for young Liam, but needs must.

I honestly think Cullen can do a job and score goals and he has a good work rateas a CF, havent seen enough of Piroe to comment. Bennet is to slow and i would have taken a chance on Walsh who when fit is a player.

I'd love Cullen to be successful, but I'm not sure he will be for the reason that I don't think we can carry a fox in the box type of CF, think we need a CF that can and will offer much more unfortunately.

Jury is out on Walsh for me, needs to get himself right and put some games together, we can't afford to carry players that are gonna miss a lot of games through injury and then have to keep easing them through games in the hope their fitness improves time and time again throughout the season, hopefully I'm wrong and he'll be clear and be available to play as and when, the omens doesn't look good regards Walsh though based on the last couple of season's.
