What is the purpose of the trust ? I’d say to help the club move forward ( which they haven’t for a long time ) so all the the money that they have should always go back into the club, that is completely different to Huw Jenkins’s personal money.

In my opinion the Americans are doing a good job. The team is flying high this season, with a good manager, and I don’t expect them to spend money that takes us into conflict with FFP

The trust as a shareholder would be subject to all the same FFP rules as any other shareholder, so how do think they should invest?

Have you thought this through?

The question I originally asked was a hypothetical one. I’m not asking the trust to invest, but don’t see why the trust would come under the same rules for FFP, as any money the trust would have. would have been made by the club.

Jenkins/Morgan made money off the club through dividends and are also still shareholders. Should they invest?

The trust has funds from membership fees and other sources too mind.

Spending a few million on a couple of players now could make the difference
You would think the owners would regard it is a gamble but worth it
Promotion and then selling the club would be the best outcome for them
If they don't, not only does it show they have no ambition, it shows they are not very good at business either

Losing two midfielders now puts another spin on this thread with only Byers now has back up.... stick or twist?

The last thing I want is a hedge fund dole out

Live within our means and keep the yanks at arms length
