Colours Nailed and all that

Pep said Haaland had picked up a knock in training , probably been on the bench if fit .

It’s amazing how far some people will go when they have an attachment to a certain manager or player, our results away from home have been poor, apart from SW our home performances have been less than convincing as well, we could easily have been three down at half time on Tuesday and Bristol City could quite easily have beaten us on another day.
You're a fine one to talk about attachments to a manger. Any mention of Wuss and you go in to a melt down.

Southampton, Norwich, West Brom and Leicester all prove my point, now they certainly have better players than us, two of them have rescued their seasons and two are stuck in the bottom of the table.

I said this a couple of times yesterday but I don’t think our away performances have been as bad as the results we’ve had. We’ve been in games, created chances and put up some good underlying numbers against good sides like Millwall, Coventry, Hull. If we had stayed on that trajectory then I think that would have seen us pick up some more points but we haven’t.

The issue recently (last 4 or 5) is that our performances have dropped in quality both home and away. We look knackered and are no longer pressing with the same intensity that we were. Three game weeks are a particular struggle.

As for Matos and this style of play, our chance creation is miles ahead of where it was before he came in, just look at the numbers. There will be people who want us to stick more closely to “The Swansea Way” but I personally don’t mind the Klopp school of football. It would be foolish to think we can build calmly from the back with the CB pairing we currently have anyway.

As frustrating as it is, we got our manager appointment wrong last summer and are headed for another rebuild. We’ve done well this season considering we were practically in the relegation zone when Matos came in.

Way to early to write Matos off. He came on when we was at our lowest. And changed our style of play mid season as well. Needs a pre season and a transfer window. I agree with some of your points, and players do look tired. It was the same with Liverpool when Klopp came in. Yes I know we're not Liverpool and he is not Klopp.
He ridiculed him at the start - last week he was singing his praises and now he’s back to criticising him.

this next game on saturday should show us a lot,in my opinion, we have just had a rude awakning vs ipswich a extremly good side as their position in the div shows, Stoke however should be a different matter even tho they seem to be our bogy side, if all fit the manager and his coaching team will have to sort the defensive problems and our finishing at the other end, the squad is getting there but it will take time and we can ill afford to lose either of our top 2 guys but can see 1 going in the summer if we are genuine in our march to the promised land we are going to need quite a few quality guys coming in as others have said the teams at the top have bigger quality squads when rotation is not felt as hard as our does ( no disrespect to any player)

Well, it's plainly obvious, you have two CBs who can't control and pass a football correctly when we build up play, we have two RBs on the bench and our only composed technical midfielder at RB.. teams have worked out that forcing Cabango and Burgess to have the ball is a "safe" strategy for them, plus the space between RB/LB and CB get exploited with pace on the outside, plus we're negative safety first merchants.. and we run a lot, but running doesn't equate to goals, you might nick one or two, but if you're not willing to pass through, it's pointless turning up.. it's not tripe, if you can't handle an opinion without bias, football isn't the thing for you
I’ll agree that Cabango without Darling alongside him is pretty awful. Burgess for all his reputation is not fit to lace Darling’s boots and darling wasn’t perfect.

If replying to me I was talking about last month when he was a sub in a league game. In general I agree with Darran though that Vipotnik should start whenever possible.

Some twp people on here, people were questioning why Ronald continues to be selected, I pointed out that he fits Matos style of football perfectly, that’s not praising the manager that was just highlighting why he gets picked.

As things stand, who starts instead of him? The squad isn't exactly blessed with options on the wing.
