• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Scores the goal that takes Burnley back to the Prem. Well done lad!

When he comes back I hope it isn't because he is done and also that he takes a wage that doesnt flush our cashflow

Should never have been “Given away” for a paltry £2.5m in the first place by our pathetic shyster owners

A Full Welsh International, with a Rolls Royce engine, the epitome of a modern wing back, who also can score a few goals.

Absolute scandalous asset stripping, just to keep their own investors happy.

I can only hope that we have a significant sell on clause in his contract for the pitiful amount we sold him for.

It was also pretty scandalous that he was poorly utilised in the last few months here and was effectively used as a spare man. Including in the play off final

Not going to waste too much energy defending our owners, but if you have a player going into the last year of their contract, who isn't going to sign a new contract on terms you can afford, then you have to take what you can get.

Otherwise you lose a valuable asset for nothing, like we'll see with Manning this summer.

Obvious really.

Why wasn’t he given an extended contract earlier then? Any normal owner that knew anything about football, would have seen an appreciating asset with a terrific sell on value.

Whose agent was advising him not to sign because he could get him much more money by hanging out.

You can't make a player sign an extension if he doesn't want to.

Exactly. Connor and his agent would have also been fully aware he was 'an appreciating asset with terrific sell on value' and pitched their contract demands appropriately.
