Diving Reputation

Just saying we cannot decry the injustice of not getting stonewall pens given for us or dubious pens given against us and then praise our own for diving and cheating. It is the very definition of hypocrisy

Robert Madley to you too mate! Really don’t care tonight. I‘ll leave the philosophy for another day!

To be honest the ref was terrible. Gave Stoke everything the whole game. Could have easily have given a red when I think it was Lowe in on goal and got pulled down. Swings and roundabouts, we always get the bad decisions, bout time we got a lucky one

Naughton didn't dive, just saying.

This.

Not saying it was a penalty but it didn't look like a dive either. Just a trip. Still, Stoke had it coming.

I'd rather not win like that, probably many of us feel the same. Whichever way you cut it, it is cheating and it does detract from the integrity of all sports, indeed all walks of life!

Given the financial stakes, maybe VAR should be implemented in the championship, but obviously that carries it's own controversy and unreliability.

Not the best way to win in the 94th minute but I’ll take it. Makes up for the penalties we should have been given and weren’t !!
It evens itself out over the season..........
And Jack Clarke was diving all over the place from the minute he was brought on so it’s karma 🤣
Back to winning ways so got to follow it up with a win on Saturday

Jack Clarke? I thought he was Tom Daley, all I saw was his barnet fopping up and down from fainting every 20 seconds.
Karma

We've always been fucked over my dodgy reffing.
I think we've conceded softer pens. Stoke should be bold and blame refs.......but I don't think they will somehow 🤣😂

Reading on the Brentford & Watford forums they have is down as a team of divers...

Swansea vs Bournemouth in the playoffs would be interesting. Would be like watching Tom Daley vs David Boudia.
From the Watford forum

We’re definitely more streetwise this season... but I can’t really remember any other incidents this season where you could say any of our players have dived... Connor and Andre do like to make the most of challenges sometimes, but they have always been fouls.

Out biggest problem was being too nice and not streetwise, with the volume of shit refs we've wised up

At the end of the day, you don't need to be in football long to know that it's what goes around comes around in this business. Was it a pen? Who gives a shite! Bad decisions always even themselves out over the course of a season.

Fuck em!

Dodgy penalties, long throws and a win at Stoke Shitty Central. All with added tinpot West London Gasworks FC anger and misery.

That's worth a big smile this morning, no matter what happens next.

Oh and as pointed out, it wasn't a dive. As for Watford...more ridiculously soft penalties than anyone in any league this season to get where they are, so they can naff off.

Well said,Naughton waits for contact and gets it.Is it enough to cause him to fall no,So he goes down. How many pens do we see where the attacking player make more of the contact to get a pen.Naughton just used experience and thank feck for it.
