Does it piss you off he doesn’t come over before kick off to clap the fans?

Saw some people kicking off he didn’t do it, but who cares? The bloke is here to manage a team of players not come over to the fans 2/3 times to clap them, once is enough after the game.

He'll never be as popular as Russ if he fails to wave to the fans.
Even if we get promoted.
Wonder if some will chant for him for a wave on his return?

If he didn't do that, then its obvious that he doesn't want to be loved, init

It’s already clear that whatever Duff does he’s going to get slated by the noisy but small minority of people who remain convinced that Russ is the greatest gift to sparkling football since Guardiola. I genuinely have no idea what games they watched for the past two seasons cos they couldn’t have been the same games I watched.

My memory is terrible, but I'm sure at least one of our managers during our glory years was a proponent of a quick handshake with the opposition bench, then off down the tunnel. Laudrup I think?

I always really liked it, as I've always thought the playing to the crowd was a simple way to curry favour. The manager equivalent of the player who runs about a lot and achieves little, but who some fans love because they're 'showing pashun'.

Russ is the only manager I’ve seen do it. I like Russ, I liked the way he wanting us to play etc but he’s gone now.

I don’t have no issues with Duff changing the way we play, eradicating the defensive issues hopefully, not being so insistent on playing out, but at the same time I don’t want us to be completely abandoning everything we’ve worked on last two years either. I did find his words slightly worrying after the game if I’m being honest but the reaction has been OTT.

Echo chamber bollocks. If he wins games he'll be popular. Most people I've heard from outside the twatterati are glad Martin has buggered off, many long time supporters, that are now thinking about renewing.

Did you say he doesn't clap the fans?

I need a refund on my season ticket.

Preferably in cash 🤣🤣

Seriously we are closing in on the most self entitled spoilt bunch of fans in football

If he's not the type to pander to supporters with a clap or a fistpump that's a bonus.

This new age Twitter fan is generally obscene.

The hyperbole over that defeat at Oxford potentially meaning our season could be a write off is absolutely bizarre. You don't see West Ham fans in meltdown over drawing at Dagenham or even Stoke fans at Derby (3-0).

They give us a bad name.

It’s mental how much people read into pre season, remember the year United won every game even against Barcelona and then lost first game at home to the mighty Swans, people are just so soft now and will cling on to literally anything, remember that Graham Potter video of him singing you Jack bastards to the crowd only for him to leave us a few weeks later, it’s a way to play up to the fans and get them on side if things go wrong people will say ah but at least he had a connection with us fans and respected us, I’d much rather the manager came out done his job got us the 3 points and waved the fans after the game that’s all that needs to happen imo for grown ups to get upset of a manager not coming out 5 minutes before KO and after the game to clap again is laughable.

Yup, all Mr. Duff needs to do is win games of football.

Didn't work for Cooper. He won enough to get us in the play-offs twice in a row, and still many wanted him out (me included).
