England vs NZ 3rd Test

Some loose bowling letting NZ off the hook this morning.

Yep. With Mitchell and Blundell building yet another impressive partnership, this could get away from even this new-look England approach. I'm not sure if they would be willing to play for the draw, or if they have the ability to do so even if they wanted to.

Free tickets available for Day 5 tomorrow.
Sir Robert of Key behind this I think.

Run rates in this series have been crazy. England going at 4.5 an over again in fourth innings run chase on a day four pitch.

It's been boring though, I don't know if it's New Zealand being poor or England batting well

I’ve no idea how you can call anything about this series boring.

I'm not the biggest test series fan, I prefer the shorter formats of the game.. but that's just me

Well we’re all different. Although this series has been played at ODI pace much of the time.

Don't get me wrong, some of it was superb yesterday and earlier on, but it seemed New Zealand were all out of puff in that last 1 hour 30.. take nothing away from Pope or Root though

I’d imagine they probably just want to get home now. They’ve been battered.

Mark Butcher made the point that these tests have been superb and of the best you'll see.
So long it's always doom and gloom and "something nis wrong with the game"

The game is evolving and players in this test series have no shackles whatsoever.

Game over and a 3-0 whitewash. No play before lunch due to rain and by the time I turned it on after my own lunch it was nearly all over. It sounds like England have once again played in one day mode which will have been entertaining for those that picked up the free admission.

Where do England go from here - is this mindset one to take to India and SA in the second half of the summer and then away from home during the winter?

That innings from Bairstow today was better than his 150+ the other day
