• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Game over and a 3-0 whitewash. No play before lunch due to rain and by the time I turned it on after my own lunch it was nearly all over. It sounds like England have once again played in one day mode which will have been entertaining for those that picked up the free admission.

Where do England go from here - is this mindset one to take to India and SA in the second half of the summer and then away from home during the winter?

296 in 54 overs. In the series they’ve chased 277, 299 and 296 to win the games. No point changing the approach. It’s working.

Eoin Morgan to retire as one day captain. Probably the greatest captain England have ever had across formats.

Bairstow has surpassed Botham I feel in dynamic batting.
Only KP could do what Bairstow is doing consistently.
Flintoff had his moments but this is incredible form.

Run rates in this series have been crazy. England going at 4.5 an over again in fourth innings run chase on a day four pitch.

It's been boring though, I don't know if it's New Zealand being poor or England batting well

Boring? This is some of the greatest matches ever seen. Teams don't chase down +250 in a fourth innings, England have done it three times in one series.

Don't get me wrong, some of it was superb yesterday and earlier on, but it seemed New Zealand were all out of puff in that last 1 hour 30.. take nothing away from Pope or Root though

Ahh ok, so you corrected things. Not boring after all. I knew you would see sense, Skip.

The county game needs to adopt this positive approach, after all they only play 4 day cricket.
Matthew Maynard getting a tune out of Glammy this season, he would have loved a coach like McCullum

Brendon McCullum is the guy to push on with this approach. He will instil a mentality whereby the odd failure is both expected and understood, much in the same way as he went about his cricket.

One thing that needs looking at is whether Crawley can handle this approach.
He's in a winning team so perhaps will get another chance but I think his time is nearly up

Jos Buttler anyone?

As opener? Can’t see it. And we’ll have a team full of wicket keepers if we’re not careful.

Buttler I don't think so. Possibly Billings and even Tom Banton......I blame Adam Gilchrist and Alex Stewart for all this wicketkeeper/batsmen!

As always McCullum is an impressive person to interview.
"I don't teach technique, just tactics" he says😂🤣
