• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I'm watching the Scotland game, I'm saving England for when they get pasted in the quarters.

Scotland were going down without a whimper but they've suddenly found some fight from somewhere and scored a great equaliser. It'll be interesting to see if they can keep it going, they are having to put in a lot more miles than the cultured Croatians just to stand still.

Great goal from Modric. He’s been pulling the strings all game

That goal by Modric, you don’t get much better…simply brilliant.

England were so poor, any decent side will brush them aside with ease, Portugal, Germany, France are the likely opponents, it's not coming home again etc..

The press will start pumping them up again now. Pump and the inevitable dump. “ England qualifying in first place, Croatia in second place Czech Republic in third and Scotland in isolation after all” - Arrogant tossers!

I’ve had a look at The Netherlands safe countries list and Denmark isn’t on it either so maybe they won’t be allowed.

Thanks for researching this. It sounds as if their fans will be allowed but we'll know more tomorrow. And the Dutch are absolutely right about this, because cases here are starting to go up again, so why should they let us in? I'd also want fans returning from Amsterdam to self isolate.

Further to that Politiken (another Danish newspaper) hints in the headline that there will be few Danish fans at the game, but the meat of the article is paywalled.

https://politiken.dk/sport/fodbold/EM_2021/art8257047/Dr%C3%B8mmer-du-om-at-se-Wales-Danmark-i-Amsterdam-S%C3%A5-kan-du-hurtigt-blive-skuffet

So they have beaten us both times in our last 2 matches, scoring 4 goals to our 1, are above us in the world rankings, and will have their supporters there while ours are barred.

Perfect! We've got them right where we want them, 1-2 to us.

45k allowed in Wembley next Tuesday, yet not one Welsh fan can be in and out of Amsterdam in 12 hours ( with probably all being double jabbed). That's nothing short of a fckn scandal, and Drakeford wants linching for not supporting the country in this.
We could possibly get to the semis....then watch him leading the plaudits. Cvnt.

Scotland can't be too disheartened, considering they qualified through a backdoor playoff and wouldnt have been there otherwise

Not sure Drakeford has much pull with the Dutch government to be honest. Perhaps Bojo's government could sort something if England were playing in Amsterdam, but it's only Wales so Westminster won't give two shits.

Maybe buddy, but Drakeford has said fck all in support. Plus we now hear that its been agreed that 2.5k UEFA officials can come to the final without quarantine. And not one of us can go to Holland for 12 hours . The whole thing stinks the place out.
