• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

So England are going to be throwing thier hat into the ring to stage the 2030 World Cup, no doubt FIFA would have been impressed with the way the English fans conducted themselves last night by attacking stewards coked up to the eyeballs, then racially abusing thier own players.

Mate, it simply depends how much money they pony up for FIFA. Qatar is killing their own workers to build stadia to play a World Cup in a million degrees centigrade - and FIFA, could not care less.

One to thank Blatter and Platini for. We can also thank Platini for the more recent format of the Euros.

In conclusion, F*ck Platini.

Yeah seen them online only £19.66🇮🇹👍

I was pleased they did not win. Getting out the country was the best thing to do, it reached a point where being elsewhere was essential. Didn't watch the game, the idea was to escape it and hope for an Italian victory. I was successful on both counts.

Wandered round the City last night around game time. Swansea has a number of bars and drinking places even away from the main town area but thing was saw one or two people walking brazenly about with England tops on. Maybe its just me but thought it a bit unsavory , guess they didn't have time to make it back across the Severn bridge before start of game.

Bought a newspaper today as a souvenir of them losing, lo and behold they get a number of pages devoted to them but guess its an English based publication. Looked at a few Welsh newspapers but they were a day or two out of date and no mention or feature of last night.

Had a good look round the City today while at it, Abertawe station and museum, Quayside and tall buildings down there, one great big feature that stands out above all others but can't remember the name of it. Only passed it a couple of hours ago.

Say again the City here is quite expansive, sort of sprawled out and plenty of walking to be done. Will try to get to the Mumbles in a day or so but think a bus is best to reach it. Can see it from where we are, accommodation, but goes round in a bend and always seems a long way off. Going to make the most of time here.

Best thing is, now England lost and the soccer is over you can enjoy things a lot more, time to savour and more enjoyment from a trip out.

2030 will be the 100th anniversary of the World Cup and by all accounts is already earmarked for a Uruguay (1930 hosts and winners) Argentina bid

anyone else still laughing?

Will wait with bated breath for the songs next season regarding Sackos pen miss.
It's still funny, but am more relieved if anything.

Before this thread slips away, can anyone enlighten me on the significance of the "Sweet Caroline" song to England's participation? It has completely passed me by.
