• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

The Spanish girls couldn't hit a barn door in normal time so no chance they were going to win on pens, sadly.

Turn your tv's to a non news channel now lads, wall to wall arrogance coming.

That striker of theirs was fucking hopeless

I'm still waiting for England to turn up. How they've won the tournament I have no idea whatsoever

Yes, the No 18 missed several tap ins & once tried a flick with her trailing leg when it was easier to just smack it in. Only themselves to blame though, had 4 or 5 chances in extra time to seal it.

That Spanish no. 18 had missed everything in the box the total time she was on, as soon as she picked up the ball for the pen I knew England were gonna win, an RNIB 11 could have beaten this Spanish side, Thank Christ the proper footy starts in 2 weeks

England were battered and outplayed in two of the three knock out rounds against Spain and Sweden (I missed the Germany game so can't comment on that one).

Both games they came from behind and managed to draw level because their opponents didn't make their superiority count and put them away.

For all that one can call them lucky (and in many respects they were), you have to have the grit and willpower to keep fighting when behind to get the chance to draw level.

Hats off to them, but if this tournament was replayed ten times, England would have only made the final in one or two of them based on the performances showed overall.

She had good pace and strength, bullied her way into promising positions several times, but had all the composure of a virgin on prom night when a cool head was needed to take the right shots or make the right passes.
