Lissah’s physical stature was a bit of a concern for playing centre-half, always looked a bit skinny and liable to get pushed around, (This is based of seeing him for the u21s a couple of years back, so he could have bulked up since then)

If he can develop as a right-back who can cover in the middle, he’s got a role waiting for him here.

Check out the assist from Lissah - at about the 2 min mark - wow!
Also reports are that Wilson made a big difference when introduced for the second half.
Lissah looks nailed on for the RB role next season based on the evidence of my eyes. Extend his contract before he comes back!

I note Lissah didn't play in Falkirk's 4-1 defeat of Hibs today.
I looked on FlashScores to see if he was listed as injured, but it said "Inactive. Not in the squad".
Coming back to us? Or being sold to Liverpool for £10 million?

Their manager says injury

Just an update: Celtic beat Falkirk 2-0 this afternoon. Lissah didn't play because he has a slight knock, by all accounts. Kyrell Wilson played 64 minutes before being subbed (seems to be a recurring theme). He had a decent game, with bags of pace and good control of the ball, but sometimes he takes the wrong option. He's still young, though, so that should improve. A very good prospect, in my humble opinion.

Lissah was on the bench .
Kyrell Wilson being subbed after 60+ minutes similar to our starters , football is more a squad game now .
Swansea squad now in my opinion is the best for a very long time .
You need at least 20 players who are good enough to start .

Stenhousemuir v Falkirk - Scottish Cup - Live BBC Scotland & iPlayer Sunday 8th Feb 19:15

For those that don't follow the SPL as much as others a good chance to see both Lissah and Wilson in action as both should feature.

The lad doesn't have a wiki page? Anyone more knowledgeable able to get one created?

Former Chelsea Youth and U18 defender who had played in trial matches for the Swans in April 2021 and signed professional forms for the Swans in July 2021.
Chelsea youngster Filip Lissah has spent the past month on trial at Derby County with the versatile defender seemingly looking to earn a scholarship deal at Pride Park. Lissah came through the ranks at Chelsea and featured heavily for the youth teams. He started the KDB Cup final in 2019 against RKC Genk, with Chelsea’ U15s coming out on top in a penalty shootout after an initial 2-2 draw with the Belgian side. Lissah then went on to feature for the Chelsea U18s but struggled for regular game-time. Now, the talented youngster is training with Derby’s academy sides and featured in the Rams’ past three U18 games against Burnley, Sunderland and Wolves.

FILIP LISSAH SIGNS FIRST PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT AT SWANSEA CITY

Official site, 5/12/2022

Centre-back Filip Lissah has become the latest young player to sign a first professional contract at Swansea City, securing his future at the club until the end of June 2025.
The 17-year-old has been with Swansea City since the summer of 2021, after arriving in SA1 following a spell at Chelsea. The versatile defender, who is currently sidelined with a hip injury, had been in the Blues academy since under-eight level. The youngster also had a short trial at Derby County before making the move to join the Swans. Lissah made the step up to under-21 level at the start of the 2022-23 season, making his competitive debut against Sheffield Wednesday in the opening fixture of the Professional Development League campaign.

Jack Chapman - head of recruitment at the academy played a significant role in bringing Filip to SA1 - and he praised Lissah's ability and character. When we came across Filip, it was evident that he had the footballing ability to be a part of Swansea City. The club values players who can retain possession, link the play through the pitch and do so with confidence," said Chapman. "He had a strong foundation at his previous club during his more formative years, and we hoped that our environment would allow him to thrive. "After a few conversations getting to know Filip’s mum, Irena, we knew that he came from a background where education and application were paramount. It’s a testament to them both that he has taken challenges in his stride since being with us at the club. "As we know, there are lots of players with talent, but the character and consistency is what gives them a career in the game. "I think we’ve seen in football many times before that when players get an early disappointment they can either lose faith or it can re-energise them for a fresh challenge.
"Filip has come here with the support of everyone at the academy to settle into a new city, develop his all-round game and start to put the pieces together of what his future could look like here. "His hard work, day-to-day approach and ability have been recognised by senior members of staff at the club, and we wish him the best of luck upon signing his new contract.”

FILIP LISSAH GRATEFUL FOR OPPORTUNITY AFTER SECURING HIS FUTURE AT SWANSEA CITY

Official site, 5/12/2022

Filip Lissah is thankful to everyone who has helped him along the way to signing his first professional contract with Swansea City. The teenager has put pen to paper on a deal through to the end of June 2025. The 17-year-old - who is facing a spell on the sidelines with a hip injury - has been with Swansea City since the summer of 2021 after arriving on the back of a spell in west London with Chelsea.
The versatile centre-back - who can also play on the right side of defence - had been in the Blues academy since under-eight level. He has stepped up the under-21 level with the Swans this term, following a string of impressive showings for the under-18s. I’ve been in Swansea for a year and a half now, it’s definitely different to London, but it’s a whole new experience being somewhere different. I've enjoyed it," he said. I love being in Swansea. I’ve met so many new people and learnt so much. I was with Chelsea for a long time. I’d kind of been in that bubble my whole life. So, if anything, it was good that I had the chance to move to somewhere new.

It opened my eyes and I’ve seen that there is a bigger world of football than what I was used to. In terms of football, there’s not much difference in playing styles. Both teams like to keep the ball, and it wasn’t too hard to adapt to that. In terms of facilities, that was one of the main reasons I was attracted to Swansea. It’s great and it’s one of the best. Last season, I started off getting used to the new environment. But once I was comfortable in my surroundings, I feel like I really excelled. It’s been good this year getting lots of opportunities with the under-21s, and I believe that’s because I pushed myself last season. Personally, the step up to the under-21s has been very good. Quality wise, you see it in training – there is just a different level of sharpness to everything. You've got to be switched on at all times. The next step is to hopefully to make it to the first team, which is an even bigger step than the one up to the under-21s."

The youngster is currently in recovery after suffering a hip injury just two months ago, but hopes to return back to full fitness before the end of the season.
"When I’m back fit, I’ll need to keep my head down and keep going every day," Lissah added.
I had a labral tear in my hip joint, and I've recently had that fixed. Some days recovery has been tough, but I guess it's like that with every injury. "I've taken it as an opportunity to develop in other areas, such as in the gym. I've got to take as many positives as I can from it. "It was unexpected when I found out I had been offered a contract because of the injury, but it's definitely lifted my spirits. Now, the plan is to keep on pushing and, hopefully, I can follow in the footsteps of the majority of the under-21 boys who’ve made the step up. My family have played a massive part in my journey. I have to thank my mum because without her I wouldn’t' be where I am today. She’s taken me to training for nearly 10 years now, she’s given me all of the opportunities possible. The coaches have changed my mindset since I’ve been here. They’ve allowed me to push on and become a better player and person.”

Official site, 27/3/2024

Filip Lissah is looking forward to more progression and opportunities after committing his long-term future to Swansea City by putting pen to paper on a new contract with the club.

The centre-back has signed terms through to the end of June 2027, with the option for an additional 12 months.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding campaign at under-21 level, skippering the development side to the final of the Nathaniel MG Cup.

"I'm delighted, I've enjoyed myself so much ever since I've joined the club," said Lissah.
"I have that sense of stability now, that's something that's been on my mind, and now I've got that.
"It's been a great season, to captain the under-21s in a cup final and make my senior debut in the space of a few days was a great experience.
"I know the results weren't great, but to have two amazing moments to remember was amazing.
"The minute I signed my scholarship here, all I have had in the back of my mind is to work towards a first-team debut at this club.
"I remember playing against Brighton with the under-21s, then getting the call to meet the team in Bournemouth the following day, and I didn't know I was going to come on and I did. It was a big moment for me and I want more of it."
Lissah - who hails from Kingston, south London - had been at Chelsea for almost a decade before being released at 16 years of age.
The youngster also had a short trial at Derby County before making the move to join the Swans.
Lissah made the step up to under-21 level at the start of the 2022-23 season, and he signed his first professional contract in November 2022.
"Ever since I've joined, I've loved my time here and it was an easy decision to commit to here long-term," he added.
"I couldn't wait to sign, but the hard work doesn't stop here, and it's definitely not a time to just relax, I want to continue to work as hard as I can.
"Training and being in and around the first team has been amazing, you definitely learn a lot and you just better yourself everyday.
"With not long left to go in the season, I'd love to try and get a few more opportunities."

Filip Lissah makes loan move to Falkirk
Official site, 1/9/2025

Swansea City defender Filip Lissah has joined Falkirk on loan for the remainder of the 2025-26 season, subject to international clearance.
The 20-year-old links up with the Scottish top-flight club, and will join another Swansea youngster in their squad following Kyrell Wilson’s move to the Bairns last week.
Lissah joined Swansea in the summer of 2021, having been on the books at Chelsea and made his senior debut for the club in January 2024.
He has seen his opportunities limited by injury over much of the last 12 months and will not get the chance to get some valuable senior game time under his belt.
