He's just trolling us now.

He's probably actually convinced himself it's true.

That captures perfectly the reason Russell Martin should no longer have a job. 18 months and that's what he's fundamentally achieved.

whoever that swansea beat on twitter is, speaks the solid truth. While alot of people on twitter are still lapping up Martin football, Swansea Beat states that we're shite. And i for one applaud him.

Simply terrifying stats
Quite frankly those are the stats you would expect of a club in a relegation scrap.
The only reason we are not is because we have been scoring goals - that does not in any way make us "fundamentally better"

It does however prove that RM is "fundamentally mental" to claim as such

They are (metrics improved), you see it as well,
It's not a contentious thing
It's a fact, it's not a lie. Whatever people see with their eyes, whatever we see with our eyes, we feel it and we see the team is better.
The young players we have are better than where they were 18 months ago
The established players are better than where they were 18 months ago
That's not an opinion, it's a fact
The team is better in every metric than when we played here 18 months ago or whenever it was when we first walked into the building,
But the team is much better, in our performance, the chances it gives up, although we concede too many goals
But we're not building a block at a time; we build, then we lose a lot of the foundations. Then we have to build again

Not a mention of what the individual metrics for players are.
All could well be true, but only one metric really matters and that’s not losing, and then winning.

It’s a team game, so to be successful

The Whole must be Greater than the Sum of its Parts

To add we've only had 6 clean sheets this season.

We may well be better when looking at his meaningless metrics. The metrics that count tell a different story. We see through it and I guess the owners do too, but we can’t and they won’t do anything about it.

An absolute fraud of a football manager.

The only stats that count are those in the league table. Metrics my arse.

Best manager in the league guys, Grimes said so last week.

I like Martin, said so on here over and over but that was a bit of a silly comment by Grimes, I'd wish we'd just shut up.

He's another you won't need to worry about playing for us this year, he splits opinion like no other player, so let's see how we go without.

I'll own up to calling Cooper a fraud (as he sold us, through his interviews according to leon and Curt, a vision that he didn't try to actually deliver), but I accept now that there are levels of fraudwittery, and Martin describing himself as a competent football manager in any shape or form is just proper fraud on a massive scale. We simply have to get rid of him to even start functioning as a club again.
