• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

A wicket that's killing 4 day cricket!!

Derby haven’t won a county game all season, now we know why.
Glamorgan not lost one either. 🤔

In with a chance of going up, laying in 2nd spot at the moment.
P 11 W 1 D 10

Most boring Country Championship season ever... 😴

I wish we'd had Neser available all summer.

I think the Aussies have missed a trick not picking him for at least some of the Test matches - He's used to bowling with the Dukes ball under differing English wickets and conditions. Plus he's become a very good all rounder over here.

A waste of a very good bowler for sure.

Well he’s off there at the end of the season on a 3 year deal. I must admit I’m very disappointed at this. He’s our captain and while his career stats don’t appear great we’ve batted him everywhere in the order and forced him to open the batting when his game is more suited to a no 5 or 6. Apparently it’s so he’s closer to family in north wales playing for Derbyshire. Fair enough I suppose but is there really that much in it in terms of distance, so much so that you up and leave the county you captain?

More to it I think!
