• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

So Van der Gugten and Douthwaite already chucking down pies this morning and the Gloucester batsmen tucking in, Harris already warming up on the boundary, this could be a very long day...

It’ll take some effort to lose this game from a first innings lead of about 250 but fair play, looks like Glamorgan are going all out to do just that.

38/3

Glam won toss and put Durham in to bat, 74/1.

Got to be said even with the addition of Michael Neser this Glamorgan bowling attack is the weakest for a very long time, can't see this attack getting 20 wickets in a County game unless the wicket is an absolute minefield. Also absolutely no decent spin option in the squad, Labuschagne is probably thier best option...

We’re 2 quality bowlers light of being an excellent team. The attack is desperately short on pace. Can’t believe how medium paced podmore is!

Win the toss and decide to bowl first ... 😂

Durham 471/9

Glam 153/5

Thank fvck for the rain.

Did you see the Matthew Maynard interview after the first day?
He was trying to explain the reasoning behind putting Durham in, absolutely clueless.

Talented cricketer at his peak but no one could ever accuse Maynard of being a genius.

Absolutely clueless 💥

Only a passing interest in Glamorgan /Cardiff Cricket Club these days , thanks to the WAG throwing millions of quid of our money at Sophia Gardens so as a token gestute , ECB give a minor T20 internarional fixture to the place , keep them happy .

Obviously losing St.Helens as Glamorgan , and my childhood history of watching Majid batting .
This will be a decision , based on broadcasting and the money generated there , not for me .

The concrete steps and wooden benches in the Members End were a joy .
