Couldn't agree more, he should but he won't. The Irish racing authorities will take a dim view but not as strong as the UK board. Tho hes already lost a massive sponsor cos of it. Brilliant trainer, but that is sickening.

What he has done is fuel the animal cruelty brigade when you have to feel that there are the thousands of stable lads/lasses who love the horses. I owned large share in one years ago and my experience of them was only positive.
Best thing he can do is now walk away from the sport. Take away his licence and warn him off racecourses, and not punish the owners/staff. If he gets a winner at Cheltenham, the atmosphere ( even with no crowds) will be toxic in the winners enclosure.
Move the horses to other stables the only answer.

Horses are bred to race and jump. Safety measures at courses are excellent for them. The percentage of horses that are fatally injured compared to those that arnt are minuscule. Trouble is, the public don't see the love and care that they get at home.
It's when a cvnt like Elliot shows the whole sport up in a bad light.

That's fair enough. And one episode can stick in your head. But having seen close up in the 3 years we had ours, on bit protective to the staff etc. Saw nothing but love n care to the horses.
