2 wins in a row, so is the poor run of results over?
Last 7 games of the season, so what will they tell us.
Were the last 2 results, just out of the ordinary, even though performances have improved the last few games?
Can we go on an undefeated run?
Are we going to go into the summer on a slightly more positive frame of mind?
Are we again going into a rebuild exercise, or just strengthen the positions that we need.
Plenty of questions, only time will tell, but I don’t want, what has mostly been 2 years of uninspiring football

It’s the way Russy’s teams roll.

A run of 10 games with play off results followed by a run 20 with relegation results. End up between 12th and 18th.

Said last week what could happen and it did. Win up there, he's a hero...there a massive high and people will either forget or forgive.
We can't get sucked into all of that. Historically we are pants after a derby win, would love to see a great run of results but am not convinced.
Yes, we need new faces and it wont take much next year to get us top 6. But am sorry Russ, its gonna take more than a double double to get us top 6.

If Russ truly has saved his bacon (tofu) and makes it to the start of next season, then he will surpass Cooper in terms of service and will be hot on the heels of Martinez.

Keep in mind Martins win % is abysmal in comparison to both.

There is no progress while he is here.

Sadly, that last comment is bang on.
Keep thinking if we'd just got 3/4 more wins out of those 20 or so games of which so many points were spunked away, then Saturday would have cemented top 6.
After every high in life, a reality then dawns, and we just cannot take another season of mediocrity. Yes, Saturday was off the scale, but thers over 40 other games in a season.

I'm not getting carried away because I think the improvements in the last few games have been forced on Russ by injuries to a degree and if that is the case, it remains to be seen whether or not he reverts to type when he's got a full squad to select from. There is no question that both Wood and Cabango have been better as a pair as they both look like they have a better understanding of their roles than as part of a 3 and Darling has been a better right back option than having Lati as a right wingback. The defence still has mistakes in them and having the Fish behind them doesn't help but if Russ doesn't learn from this, then all the 2 wins have done is ensure our survival and we could soon be back to square 1.
