I'd say 90% of our fanbase have no idea of the hysteria being created online by him fumbling his words.

Social media can have a lot to answer for but the word does get around even non social media users.

I think it's a bit silly for anyone to think nothing happened concerning the job.

Luke had two opportunities to dismiss it. He and the club have had 24 hours since that pretty poor interview yesterday and have declined to say a thing.

Sources have not told our reporters "he's going nowhere" just that no approach had been made.

Interesting to see where it goes from here

Sounds like respected journos on both sides are saying this is a nothing burger and/or Williams isn’t even in the running. This is like the adults have entered the room after the kids have been arguing about something stupid and set everyone straight.

Now, local journos, respected or not, are not always right, but I’ll take their word right now over randos on twitter.

He might have been discussed, and maybe they did chat to his agent to gauge interest, but it doesn’t seem anymore than that at present.

My reading is that he made a bad joke after a horrendous performance at Portsmouth. He’s probably thought no more about it but it sent a few off down a number of ITK rabbit holes they’ll now be desperately trying to extricate themselves from.
