Did he ever have them in the first place?

He’s definitely lost a huge chunk of support and goodwill from the fanbase.

His penchant for discarding players is surely a concern, as is replacing them with his men, often of inferior quality, and playing them in specialist positions that they’re unaccustomed to.

Also, bringing back said scrapped players - Piroe, Obafemi, Fulton, Benda…. how long before we see Garrick or Whittaker brought back in to the fold……. It screams of clueless desperation at the moment.

You can't tell me Ogbeta, Whittaker, Garrick and Joseph all of whom have pace wouldn't at least help this team a little.

Perhaps even Bennett too although his cameo appearances weren't great last season. Then again I think Canavarro would be stuck in this system

I though of Bennet yesterday. He would have improved the side as we couldn’t have been any worse.

Darling, Bennet and Wood with Garrick and Kyle Joseph outside them would have been better than what we saw yesterday.

I watched Manning yesterday and Latineaudiare.
I can't fault the effort but my god their basic skills are lacking and also pace.
If we can see it in the stands how can he not?

Yesterday was the most unsettled I've heard the crowd for many a year.

Manning lost the plot in the end and and just couldn’t do the simple things. It’s not because he’s poor, his head just went because he can see exactly the same thing as us. Same for Naughton, same for Grimes. They knew it wasn’t working and you can see it in their gait that they are trying to force something but they can’t fix it without all the players reading it at the same time and we just don’t have that quality.

Itchy, you could see Naughton with the ball not knowing what to do.
You could see no one on our side make any runs or call to him.
Also, you could sense Blackburn were just waiting for an interception or a poor pass, the opposition always know we have a mistake in us and pounce.

It has happened so many times under this regime.

No opposition fears us and our record at home is fast approaching our away record which historicallybis mediocre.

As a player what would you think after both games this season the coach, in his post match press interview, says that the detail we talked about wasn't kept.

Not disagreeing with the sentiment of the OP but Piroe has featured in 47 of the 48 league games under Martin. Not sure he was ever "discarded"

I have indeed joined this forum, as the other one has lost it's way. Trying to find out how to reply to individual posters though.
