Now we are in our 6th season in the Championship.
Not to bad if you ask me.
Who gives a toss what Martinez or Jenkins did I don't need to let it go.
Spot on Sir.
There are two types who take the opposite view.
The glory hunting fans who never truly witnessed the perpetual rubbish teams and poor crowds.
The fans who bless them live, breathe, sh1t Swansea City and can’t abide that someone could utter a phrase like they’ll have to throw me out or the fact Huw Jenkins was and is a businessman for his sins.
They’re blinded by an idealism. I absolutely loved the Martinez period. My favourite period because it was high octane and crazy. I was gutted when he left, but that was that for me. I never expected him to stay for 20 years, I mean you were very naive to think such a thing and all the nonsense about taking the back room staff. Every Tom, Dick and Mohammad does that.
If you take the Martinez legacy. Instrumental in us staying in football league. Incorporating the most exciting football in a generation that ended up elevating us to the championship.
Huw Jenkins collectively with other businessmen providing the leadership and backing to lead to an absolute golden period in our history.
On balance I think they did more good than harm….
