• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Not if someone tables a huge bid. Vip would have made clubs sit up and notice him due to the start he's had
Still think it would be suicide, lets say we get offered 10m who do you think is going to replace him?

It would be up to Idah to prove he can be the main man, with Wales/Cullen as backup. If he can't then we'll have to find another with the Vipi money

Yes Vipotnik has a great shot and I’m happy with him but his general play is nothing special and he lacks pace. His heading is poor for solid build. I disagree on Idah as he arrived with us in poor form. His contract and supposed transfer fee are not his fault. C He does show effort and makes good runs that are often ignored and actually wins more headers than Vip. Far too early to cut our losses as many said we should do the same with Vip earlier on. We have written off plenty of strikers previously who have gone on to be decent elsewhere.

BTW, Idah’s back heel pass to Cullen yesterday was sublime. Cullen just had to ask the keeper where he wanted the ball instead of flying it over the bar.
I saw that, it was a very clever ball and those are the kind of balls Cullen loves. Normally he buries those. I have thought that Idah doesn't normally get stuck in but he certainly gave more yesterday and made some intelligent runs. The ref screwed in at the end when he was keeping the ball in the corner.
Do I forget his abysmal effort in other games - no but if he can continue on yesterday's showing he will give himself a lot of kudos.

Not if they’ve watched him he won’t
I was beginning t9 think I was going mad, so I’m glad I’m not the only one!

Vipotnik has a fabulous shot and has been better this season (he looks fitter) but he is still way short of what we should have as our starting centre forward.

Idah will, in my opinion, turn out to be a far better all round player than Vipotnik.

Just needs a goal or two to up his confidence.

The gaffer has a point. This last time last year Vipotnik was getting pelters from a few of the fanbase, now we don't want to sell him.

Would like to see what Idah can do on the right out wide, he played there for Norwich so it’s not alien for him. I think Ronald could do with a rest for a few games and Idah certainly has the speed and skill.

I don’t agree with people who say Vipotnik isn’t good enough for us. His goal scoring numbers are miraculous when you consider how bad we’ve been in attack for the first 3rd of the season. His all round game tends to be what people point to but he is often an important part of our build up play, holding the ball up well or providing that outlet for a straight central ball. His touch is underrated too, I’ve seen him receive a few wild and uncontrolled passes this season and accurately distribute the ball with a single touch. Personally I think there’s more to him than just a powerful shot.
