• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I wasn’t expecting this reaction when I started the thread as I posted it thinking about the fresh start under matos. However it does show the strength of feeling amongst the fan base.
I’m hoping we will see an improvement under matos - I guess we’ll find out later today and next weeks 2 crucial games.

Yes, yes he did! Although he was Irish, and it seems this fella dislikes our Celtic cousins from over the Irish Sea... 👀
Obviously hasn’t gotten over being turned down by Molly Malone when he asked her to the J4 Christmas disco in school.

Or he’s just in to all things orange. 😉

Perhaps some of the stay away ‘fans’, the match day thread heroes will start turning up and supporting the team, rather than angrily tapping away at their keyboards week after week. I doubt it though.

Correct or not, it pees me off that tens of thousands turned up for both our Wembley finals and the recent MC game and never on regular match days.

We had three Wembley finals and it was the very hard core for the third one. Then we witnessed a cowardly display against Brentford.

Perhaps some of them can't get to games because they can't afford it, or have ill health, or have mobility issues. Doesn't make them any less of a fan though.

I wouldn't mind us losing if we had ago.

It's all the sideways and backwards, oops we've conceded a goal nonsense that's killed my support.
EXACTLY this - as a fan I want us to be 100% effort and balls to the wall trying to score goals and win. If it ends in a defeat - so be it.
Encouragingly the interviews from Matos could not be more "on message" I really believe he gets it - at least I am praying he does.
