Also, this goes to show how much the dominance of T20 cricket is effecting players ability to play on a difficult test wicket, gone are the days when players dig themselves in to play the best part of 80+ overs,

Having said that, the likes of Boycott, Amiss and Tavaré would have struggled to get into double figures on this pile of crap pitch...

David Steele and John Edrich would still be there, second day tea, first innings, Edrich 5 not out, Steele 7 not out.

The pitches for the last 2 test matches have been an absolute disgrace . The indian cricket authorities should be told if there are any more ridiculously sub standard pitches prepared then they will be banned from hosting test match cricket. It's the only way to deal with them. Both teams would have scored more runs if they had played up Mynydd newydd in the winter.

Just saw a stat on the BBC Live Text that points out that England chose to bat first in the First Test and at the close of day 2 were 555-8. They chose to bat first yesterday and at the close of day 2 will have lost the Test.

England's batting has been woeful, but it cannot tell the whole story in such a remarkable change in performance in such a short time.

If this was local league south Wales association,😉 India would be docked points for this wicket!!!

Bronwydd CC might have trouble fulfilling the away fixture in India. ;)

Agreed, the pitch was a spinners paradise but maybe England should be warned about sending out ridiculously sub standard batsmen too.

Bronwydd is lovely place to play.

Post match interview Kholi saying it was a good pitch to bat on....just a lack of application by batsmen.

That may well be the worst Test match pitch ever prepared and the worst Test match ever played. A farce.

Worse than?? ...

West Indies v England, Sabina Park, 1998??

West Indies v England, Antigua, 2008 ??

Neither of those matches were completed so perhaps I should have specified for the literal minded. The game was a joke. But it was also fantastic entertainment for as long as it lasted. What it wasn’t was a good advert for Test cricket.

Can't take a joke this Barmy Army mob 😂😂😂

*edit*
Rory Burns decided to take to Twitter to criticise Alex Hartley for "taking the piss", he has since deleted his tweet  #dryyoureyesmate
