I like Duff trying to take the pressure off, 6 goals in 6 games for the reserves is obviously a great return and now we need to see if he can strep up and add something different to what we already have in the first team. Sounds like he has had some tough luck with training with the first team first picking up a knock and then having to isolate because of covid in the u21s! After the season ending injury that our last American player picked up on the pitch we are due for a bit of good luck for one of the yanks :)

If he's never trained with the 1st team then he won't play in the 1st team quite yet, but there's no harm in putting him in the squad.

I agree, might turn out to be an excellent prospect and worth a punt at least, Yanks be happy to see him play in first team and hopefully give the club a decent return for little outlay, in a season or two.

He would have been on the bench already if we hadn't already have 5 loans in and/or he was our own player.

Only allowed to have 5 loan players in a match da squad and him being no 6 is the sticking point.
They really need to look at making the deal permanent but it won't be cheap in terms of where we are as a club presently or the loan needs to if not already extended until the end of the season, we need to be looking at either then making Lowe permanent or sending another loan back to a parent club, Ashby being the obvious choice presently.

The lad seems to have something about him, the headed goal he scored up at Coventry as simple as it was, movement in that little 6 yard space he was in was very impressive and can't be taught.

You’d think Lowe would be a cheap deal come January seeing as he’s out of contract in June, either that or Ashby will go back and we’ll extend Fletchers loan with an option to buy is my guess.

I wouldn't be surprised if we sent Ashby back in January, between Tymon, Pedersen and Humphries who can also play on the left we are more than well stocked at left back and have Key and Darling who can play right back.

Our need for a creative attacking midfielder has been eased somewhat by the resurgence of Paterson but he still isn't the solution for me. A right winger followed the season ending injury to Ginnelly is also a must, have to check what position Fletcher usually plays in as I am not certain.

Yep, could have killed for someone like ginnelly tonight..

Ntcham is the big loss. Has been all season.

Put Ntcham in Paterson's position and we'd have had better results.
