• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

How about the below for an out of the box selection?

Vigs

Cabango-Delcroix-Grimes

Key-Peart Harries-Franco-Tymon

Cullen

Vipotnik-Bianchini

Grimes spends do much time with yhe centre halves play him on the left of a 3. Cullen who has done an adequate job at linking play as the pivot between midfield and the forwards. Bianchini to buzz about creating space for Vip up top.
Equally no. We shouldn’t play Grimes as he wishes. Someone with bollocks should be telling him their expectations.

Didn’t we have an upturn in form under Cooper when injuries forced us to go 352/532?

Elaborate on the post you are responding to?

Interested genuinely on your opinion regards my post.
Grimes at left back in a 4 is another square peg in a round hole, it also means we probably have to start with Fulton in midfield.

Just no.

A club at our level will always likely be square pegging regards to players playing in positions that are not their natural one.
Grimes isn't working in this role between the centre halves and will not be dropped because of the pull he has in the cub.

Something needs to give with Grimes.

Playing five at the back would be an option, sadly for us, we can't cobble together 4 of the quality required for it to be successful.

I think it is even if it's just to push Grimes out from this role that he absolutely loves because he gets to touch the ball more.

Vigs

Darling-Cabango-Delcroix

Key-Grimes-Franco-Tymon

Ronald-Cullen

Vipotnik
Key and Tymon and possibly Grimes deserve to be removed from the starting XI for a few games.

It starts with the right coach. I can’t see it a case of Grimes disobeying orders, so it must be tactical (alongside Key marauding forward through the centre circle yesterday). Only Luke knows why he asks us to play this way.

If I were the manager and player was constantly disobeying my instructions the lad would be training with the kids until he was sold.

Absolutely not.

Would be disgraceful behaviour from the player and the manager with putting up with it.
On the flip side it does make you wonder what happened prior to the QPR game. Yes they were poor, but generally their form is not. We trounced them in a way that we’ve not seen any hint of since.

We soon reverted to type in the second half.

Perhaps it was one of those half of football where every shot you have goes in.

I can understand the second half, to an extent. If nothing else the interlude (😁) will have have disrupted game pattern and allowed a QPR regroup.

We could, and should have beaten Sheffield United, says more about the quality of the Championship than anything else.
