January Transfer Rumours

He wasn't backed ffs

Brewster, hiurihane, Andre fucking Ayew!!, woodman, guehi

Add to that Joe Rodon, Connor Roberts et al

Come on pal
Anyway, it's history so it doesn't matter. Let's carry on living in hope of the present and future.

I agree to the first point.
With regards the second point, I don't think where you play the three I mentioned would make them Championship players. Like I can tell wherever Fulton plays now he will be dogshit, I think the same of those 3.
How can you judge a player based on them constantly being played either out of position combined with a lack of minutes.

Ronald was playing a lot better this time last year.

I feel that I can look at a player and see if he is any cop. Ronald and Eom have played enough this year for me to think they're not good enough. I don't see much in Bianchini despite, yes, not playing in position. Surely over the years you've looked at someone and just though nah never mind where they played or for how long ?

Ronald started off reasonably well, why has his form fallen off a cliff.

Eom looks more of a natural number ten yet is played out wide.

Viptonik looks like he would do well feeding off crosses in to the box yet when he's on the pitch we hardly get the ball in to the box and insist on playing the ball to his feet with his back to goal.

We can say the players are shit as much as we want. A huge part of this is down to the way they are set up to play by Williams.

I don't think any of these players have had a sniff of a fair crack with the Clown in the chariot. They don't fill me with huge confidence it must be said, but everyone except Coco knows that Ronald is better on the left, that Eom is not a left winger (might not even be a football player, but definitely not a left winger), that Vip needs shooting and heading opportunities and that Bianchini should play on the right.

Willy remains by far our biggest problem in my opinion and he very well might get us relegated if we let him continue his nonsense.

For me, we are now into the last day and the plan is now getting reinforcements to cover for Matt Grimes and totally neglecting the attacking midfielder and winger that we were told was priority from the start of the month.

I hope I am wrong but it's starting to look a bit meh.

Have we actually been linked to any wingers this window apart from the one in the French Division 2?

His tactics contribute hugely to the lack of creativity and goals in the team.

Hard to fully judge players when they are constantly played out of position or given 20 minutes here and there of playing time.
Couldn't agree more. The manager with no tactical knowledge.

Apart from Sunderland last year I've never rated Ronald.
Vipotnik I totally agree with you.
Eom wouldn't be able to play no10. Sorry, he'd get constantly knocked off the ball playing no10 in an Under 10s match.
And, yes, I agree about Williams' set up but still think it would make no difference to some.

Our midfield options are Franco, Allen, Fulton. One good player, one a shadow of his former self and one who has never been good enough.

While in attacking midfield and on the wings we have Eom, Ronald, Ginnelly, Bianchini, Cullen, MPH, Cooper. You can certainly argue they're not good enough, but we have options and a better manager may be able to get a better tune out of some of them.

Oh Dukey is definitely our biggest problem. And Yankee Doodle Andy.

What is sad is watching Transfer Deadline Day on Sky and we may be the only team not mentioned to date. My hope is that, due to previous Windows, they haven't bothered reporting us and its all going under the radar 🤪

I really can't get excited about what might players might arrive. Whoever they are, any initiative, flair or imagination will be rigorously coached out of them in short order and they will be reduced to the drab players we have now. They will learn to always pass backwards, never release the ball forwards until everyone is marked, the only high ball permitted is a cross from the wings etc.

The correct answer as far as I am concerned is not to focus on bringing in new guys, but to focus on getting what we have to play as they can, as they did when they first arrived. Williams will never do that, at least not without a rocket up his fundament.

The only 'incoming' I would be really impressed by is a DoF with the knowledge and authority to utilize what Williams does well, and lay down the law where he doesn't.

None of the competition aswell as us were going to ever pay or be able to pay 40k a week.

To have won the race suggests we are likely paying the highest % towards the full wage.
How does 300k loan fee and full wages for the term sound?
