• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

He was on loan at Oxford from Blackpool
He's going for 2.5 mill I read, yet we didn't trust him to play for us yet another one we moved on and who has done well elsewhere and being sold for a decent wedge its remarkable.
Coleman couldn't wait to get rid of Pinky and Perky and yet he's making the same mistakes that he wanted them gone for, the club is shambles.
PSR maybe a stumbling block, but there must be some wriggle room, otherwise why make the claim that they had players ready to sign on the dotted line during the first days/week of the window, it doesn't make sense and I don't believe that the WBA debacle has anything to do it.

Yes I agree the WBA was just a side issue.

Also from his programme notes, think we can safely expect little to no incoming activity this window?

Excuses already in tomorrows programme notes for the January window.
No surprise.

The only mitigating factor is that it is hard to get strikers in (I still think we need one and it should be a priority along with another defender or 2). Nobody else is able to sign strikers. I think Barnes left Norwich to go back to Burnley, but he has the history there and his legs have gone anyway. Sheffield Utd have loaned Berreton Diaz from S'ton. In the PL and Championship I think those are the only two strikers signed.

It doesn't explain other positions. My lad told me yesterday that Low has apparently started following the SCAFC and Cabango accounts on TikTok or Instagram or somewhere like that. If true, maybe that's a hint that the Low deal is moving 🤷‍♂️

I can handle a quiet window as January is always notoriously difficult.

What winds me up is Coleman telling us they're already working on signings for the next window only for it to be another shambles.

if he Kees his mouth shut then we don't have expectations that they actually known what they're doing.

Exactly, it’s the building false expectations better to say nothing and just see how it ends up.

I get he’s trying to get things right, but he’s a bit to try hard for me, we still haven’t even got a DOF in yet after 3 months, he’s taking on to much workload imo.
I like to think he is trying to hard to impress.

We either hear too much or nothing at all. An example of him going mute was when we sacked Duff.

The bloke disappeared for a month or so.

An experienced DOF is absolutely key. One that's allowed to function as a proper one too - not just a yes man. Coleman doesn't have the experience of running football operations and we'll just repeat our past mistakes and go nowhere until we address that. In my opinion that is.

100% agree, we’re desperate for someone who’s a football person who know what to do.

I thought we were close to someone back in December on that front, but it all seems to have gone quiet.

Another one of our academy products who we didn’t give a chance to is joining West Brom on loan, Al Hamidi, seems like he’s progressed into a solid player.
