The January 2023 Transfer Thread

Why even leave it to the last knockings?.. I pointed out exactly where this was heading earlier on in the thread, the Swans are so easily predictable on all fronts

Not fussed on the Grant deal falling through, not our type of player and probably on a big wage we would be contributing too. Better off integrating Whittaker if that is the plan. Half a dozen departures with only one in is a risk but with only 17 games left maybe a summer reset is better if our owners have any interest in our club whatsoever

Russ been kicking off with the owners they won’t give him money, doctors went home at 4, Winter sitting around smiling and Josh sitting around drinking coffee down Fairwood, all in a days work ay.

This is what went down last night, shambles.

In reality there's no change to the first team.
The six who left were unlikely to start.
The one who has come in won't start if it's up to Russ.
We are likely to finish around where we are mid table.
You got to ask do the guvnors see Russ as the answer?

Nothing changes,it is what we expected.
Same old same old.
Who in their right frame of mind would do business with these crooked yanks.
Also,bye RM.

The third sentence, that's the concern. No one does want to deal with us.

More concerning is we have squad members who don't want to be at the club. Surely that's going to impact moral unless we ship them out on loan and the problem there is our squad is so thin that's unlikely to happen.

They really don't help themselves. After this the chance of a walk up crowd/fans without season tickets attending from here on in will be practically nil.
No signs of any sort of hopeful message ( albeit probably bullshit) coming from within is just enhancing what we all think.
They really don't give 2 fcks for us.

But make sure now you all renew upon request!!!

Are we to read anything into the lack of any communication or comment from the club regarding the shambolic window? If they are going down the generic 'there wasn't the value in the market', 'our returned loans are like new signings', 'January is always difficult to do business' type guff route, surely we'd have had heard it already?

Something more going on behind the scenes?

So did this lad actually sign then? The youngster from Man City? Or did the owners pull the plug on that too?

The communication is woeful

I saw photos of him signing the contract, shocking we haven’t even had confirmation of it, I’m guessing they’re getting their statement ready for the biggest bullshit story around, Matt Gill just bought a house down here he best put it up for sale the way these owners are.

Liam Smith? It's on the academy's twitter feed. Has been since lunchtime.
